Q: Can you write on them with a sharpie? I know papers wont let you.

Yes. After about 5 minutes I tried to rub the ink off of a yellow band by pulling it between my thumb and forefinger. On the second try there was an almost undetectable smudge at the edge of the last two numbers, but still very readable.

Q: Can these be written on with an ink pen or is the material too slick?

Ballpoint and rollerball not so much. Fine point Sharpie works.

Q: Can I write on these with a black Sharpie and have it stay without smudging?

Almost undetectable smudging if you REALLY try to rub it off after waiting 5 minutes. Not a worry.

Q: Can you print text from a computer on the bands ?

Not unless your printer accepts 3/4" x 10" paper.
