ProCare Surround Patella Strap Support Brace, Medium

My knees hurts whenever I run, unless I'm wearing this.

My orthopedic doctor provide my first one to help protect my knee while on long hikes or working out. Considering that this is a product that is meant to be used fairly regularly, the outside velcro wears out very fast. The inside Velcro piece does last quite a while. I have bought a couple of replacements but now I just place a rubber band around that portion of the band to keep the small velcro piece from opening.

Great patellar support. Helped a lot with my jumpers knee.

Works great for my wife's knee issues!Her sports medicine doctor recommended this brace for her runners-knee pain. She is a marathon runner and trains extensively every week. The doctor said it was just due to severe strain and this brace should do the trick, and it did! They even sold them in the doctors office where she got the first one about 7-months ago. She tried a full knee brace before seeing a doctor, but only received minimal relief.The Velcro still works but is starting to show some wear so I looked on amazon finding the same exact one, and they were much cheaper than the doctor was selling them for so we ordered another.Knee pain effects people differently so you must find what works for "you". We highly suggest trying this one before going to a full knee brace. Personally I get knee pain relief by drinking 1-cup of Welch's grape juice mixed with 1-tablespoon of Certo every morning. A drink I found on the peoples pharmacy.com(I am NOT a compensated reviewer)UPDATE:Just bought her another one of these braces for her other knee. This after trying a cheaper one that looked the same. She didn't care for it due to the plastic rubbing her leg.This brace is good but the Velcro doesn't hold up very well which is disappointing. We are looking for an alternative.

I didnt realize that there are two brands they are selling i asked for a procare but the one they sent to me is the "DONJOY" brand i dont know if its the same but i had a feeling that it was ripped off because the one shown in the ad was not the one i received... :(

This was the recommended product to purchase based on a consumers review web page. I think what this has that the others don't are the additional tightening straps. You can really crank down on it. And that is important for maximizing the effect of the strap. Strap also didn't slide down during a 3-1/2 football game.

Velcro has sharp edges. Climb a flight of stairs and you will be uncomfortable. I would look under Mueller products because there is padding around velcro and their products are better than ProCare with little or no difference in price. This is terrible product. Did the makers even test it out?

The strap works GREAT, but the Velcro isn't sticking so good after a month's use-but my knee and leg feel much butter!
