I purchased this coat rack because I wanted my daughter to have a place to hang her wet coat as she enters her dorm room when the rainy season begins here in Oregon. I have to admit, I was quite skeptical as I didn't expect much out of an $18 item but I thought i'd give it a try anyway as I didn't want to pay a lot for something she'd use for a short time. I have to say, this coat rack far exceeded my expectations. It was so easy to put together - literally it took me less than 5 minutes to assemble it and it holds a good number of coats and other items as the branches are sensibly placed in different directions and heights. The legs aren't weighted but as long as you balance the weight on the different branches, it seems sturdy enough. My daughter and her roommate love this coat rack and surprisingly, so do I. I just hope that it holds up through the year. I'll provide an update to how long it lasts as the school year progresses. I purchased the grey color coat rack and it looks beautiful - a subtle, soft grey that compliments her dorm decor. One of the best purchases I've made from Amazon.Update : My daughter just finished her first year and I'm happy to report that this coat rack held up really well. When ever we visited her or whenever she called me (which was everyday), I'd always notice how many things the girls managed to hang on this rack without it tipping over. As the year went on, I was really surprised that this simple coat rack was still upright and holding strong. On move out day, I took it apart as easily as I put it together and noticed that this rack looked as good as the day I put it together. There were not dings, chips or splintering - anywhere. I stored it in the box it came so it would stay in perfect condition for the day my son goes college in 2024. Such a simple item, with a simple design but it is perfect. Definitely a GREAT product that can be used over and over again. I still hold strong on my opinion that this is without question, one of the best products I've purchased from Amazon.

This product was great! It came in a box and required no tools to set up, the only thing you have to do is screw the pieces together and unlike other products the screws fit well! This coatrack is pretty tall and has a relatively small base but is still very stable which makes it very versatile and useable in any room. This product has a lot of pegs meaning it can be used to fit a lot of hats and coats. If you buy this product you are getting really good value for money.

I am enjoying having something to put my coats and hats on to hang. It is very easy assembly, ladies, even if you don't do assembly work, this only takes about 10 minutes to put together. It is very sturdy and holds up the 4 coats that I had just hanging around my living room

This rack was perfect for hanging up all of my handbags & purses. I managed to fit all of my bags on it. It helps with organization and makes it easier to choose a bag to match your outfit! I gave it 5 stars because of the easy assembly & good quality of the product. Just make sure to tighten each joint so that it won’t come apart. It is easy to move around if you don’t initially like the spot you put it in.

I was so surprised how nice this coat rack is when I opened the box. I kind of expected some splintered wood to be exposed where the pegs insert, but everything is very neat and clean cut. I chose the brown and I am very happy with it. I just wanted something inexpensive to display my items at craft fairs, but I will use this as a coat rack in my house as well. Takes 5 minutes to screw in the pegs, and it stands firm on the 3 legs.

This is a little strange to write, but I bought this coat rack in white about 5 months ago and it only survived two months in my apartment. The coat rack was very easy to put together and held the coats well! However, the coat rack was knocked on once and fell because it was poorly balanced. When it fell, one of the wooden legs physically snapped in half. There was no way to screw it back in and no way to fix it. We ended up having to discard the coat rack. All in all not worth the purchase, but if you're less clumsy than my husband then it may work well for you!!!
