This movie is timeless - I can watch it again and again through the years and it never fails to make me laugh out loud - often. Both Kurt Russell and the wonderful Goldie Hawn deliver fine performances that will have you in stitches. The movie moves at a steady pace and has enough clever twists to keep you completely enthralled. Goldie Hawn is pure perfection as the spoiled "Joanna" who is thrust into the domestic life and forced to be a mother to four unruly children and wife to "Dean" (Kurt Russell). Although she has amnesia, Joanna, knows that her life is somehow different - wrong, "I didn't marry well" she says and she dreams of the good life (her real life). It's gags and guffaws galore as Joanna slowly remembers who she is, but not before she's completely rocked Dean's entire world. When he drivers her home (with her in the back of his truck) I almost peed my pants. Like any good romantic comedy, you'll be rooting for this couple and lose yourself entirely in the fantasy of these two worlds colliding. Besides being funny, this movie has heart. The lead characters are multi-layered with depth and emotion - and both are easy on the eyes. Immersed in a battle of wits - sparks fly and tempers flare and the outcome is nothing short of magic. The directing/editing is superb and seamless, the writing is excellent and the cast is flawless. This is a Hollywood movie at its finest. Well done.

Great movie! I love these two together, they’re one of the best husband and wife show biz couples ever. I like these two together and the story of a stuffy snob turned country. Lots of fun and hi jinx. I love to laugh and this is a favorite!

Overboard is the kind of movie that makes you question everything… and still laugh the entire time. The premise? Wild. The logic? Questionable. The entertainment value? Absolutely elite. It’s peak 80s/90s “this would never fly today” energy, and honestly that’s part of the charm. Goldie Hawn is iconic, Kurt Russell is chaotic, and somehow you end up rooting for a storyline that, on paper, sounds like a true crime documentary. It’s funny, ridiculous, heartwarming, and completely unhinged in the best way. If you’re looking for a nostalgic rom-com that doesn’t take itself seriously and gives you big cozy couch vibes, this is it. 10/10 would suspend reality again.

I love this movie. I watch it every time it comes on TV so I decided to buy it with no waiting. It's a feel good movie, funny and Goldie and Kirks chemistry is amazing.

Along with Under Siege and Gladiator, this film is on TV all the time. The film is 2 films: the 1st half is quirky funny and a bit spicy. Ms Hawn is no longer a go-go comedienne from the 60's but looks remarkable. She hams it up as a socialite with everything but love. She falls out of that world [literally, as in overboard] and into a tough making ends meet world. The humor is absolutely standard fare for any Hollywood comedy. Kurt Russell co-stars but the dark comedies he's known for [Escape from New York, et al.] are totally absent here. So, if you like Goldie [I do] then get this; elsewise, just keep looking...

Funny, passionate and very relateable. Great family show. Goldie and Kurt should make more movies together because their kemistry (sp) blend beautifully.
