What is the difference between this newer model and the older model?

The older model has more songs but no setting to just use it as a flashlight. However, the light on that one is brighter. The light on this is too dim to use as a flashlight. On the old one, the light flashes on and off to the music ALL the time. There is no steady light setting. Basically, if you're looking to entertain a 1 year old, this is an okay baby toy with lots of lights and music in the shape of a flashlight. If you're looking for a toy that is also a flashlight for a 2 or 3 year old toddler, this may not be that great of an option.
