This is good quality marking tape, and plenty of it. 3M has always been, IMHO, a great adhesive and tape manufacture and this tape is no exception. It is thicker than most other brands, so it doesn't take as much to wrap, and it will hold up pretty well under stress. One thing to note though is that this is "Marking" tape not "Electrical" tape, meaning it is for simply marking different wires for identification purposes, not for insulating bare electrical wires. It doesn't have the same make-up and electrical insulation properties as electrical tape, and should not be used as such. This is great tape! It is brightly colored, sticks very well to metal (which is all I used it on), and stretches when you need it to, although you need to be careful not to stretch it too much when applying in a straight line or you may limit its ability to adhere long-term. I used it on metal-framed carts that we use for books. We have to designate which grade of books are on which shelf, and I needed something that would last a long time. I applied this tape in strips to the top frame of the shelf, which is about four inches tall. It took five strips to cover the four inches, overlapping the tape a little each time. Our carts are 48" long and 18" wide. Each color covered all four sides of one shelf with a little tape left over. We are now five months into our reading program, and the tape is still adhering to the carts very well, even with little hands rubbing it and attempting to pull it off. I see no reason it won't last for years. This was a good purchase.

This is good tape and as others say keep out of very hot weather or the glued side will get gooey. But I suppose all tape is that way. I bought this tape because all the other tape in my tool box in the garage got gooey. Here in Florida garages get really hot when closed up so now I keep the tape in the house. I was surprised when I got the tape because it was wider than a normal tape you would buy - I didn't read the reviews first or I would have realized. But that's OK with me. Colored tape is usually used to color code wires so wide was fine with me. But- as far as tape goes it's fine.

I bought this to organize stuff. I used the black on my whiteboard to make areas for each grade level to look for instructions for the day. I marked spots on the carpet for kids to stand during activities with the yellow. I bundle up cords. It is sticky but so far leaves no residue when I had to peel some up and re-apply. One piece reapplied several times without any trouble. Peels easily, sticks well, not wonky edges. It does have a little stretch so I had some trouble lining it up if I pulled too hard, but it isn't so stretchy that it deforms easily in your hands.

I use this tape to mark my climbing gear so it doesn't get mixed up with my friends' gear. Since it's climbing gear that I'm marking, the tape routinely gets scraped against rocks, rubbed by nylon runners that are loaded with body weight, and generally subjected to lots of abuse. So far, it's proved to be more than a match for the task - Most of the tape markings on my gear are holding up surprisingly well. I'd recommend this tape for anyone looking to keep track of their outdoor gear on group trips - it really does work well.

I bought these because I was moving and wanted to code the boxes. A color for the boxes going to the living room, a different color for the bedroom, etc. It really worked well and I didn't have to stand at the front door directing the movers where the boxes all went. I just made up a sign with each color tape and what room it belonged in. Great price and great variety. Will work for whatever project that you have that you need to color code.

Shopping for 2" 3M 764 tape. Close up image of red roll is 2". Description doesn't state width and multicolor image above is too small. I'm sure it's good tape, but it's not what my client needs.

I bought this tape to color code files. For this purpose, the blue is a bit dark. But I cannot complain about the adhesive. This stuff sticks. It has a bit of a petroleum smell. If I use this up, though, I will buy more. I am satisfied enough, especially for the price.

Not happy with the misleading product description!! Described as each roll as 2in Wide x 36 yards long. Rec'd 6 rolls @ .94 in x 21.8 yards.☹️...PLEASE correct the misleading info!!

I used this tape to create a border around some student artwork created on larger Kraft paper. It worked well to keep the edges from tearing and it looked nice.

Great for labeling books in my classroom library. Easy to use.
