Yes, it’s worth it. No apps required.
I needed to clear memory on my late gen iPad AND my Motorola phone. Looked at thumb drives and finally chose one that said it was compatible with both devices. Yah… IF I download their app on my phone and iPad. Reluctantly I did and no, it wouldn’t transfer any type file, only pics. Physically destroyed the useless device and started over.I say all of this to illustrate when I say I plugged this 1tb drive in, out of the box, on both devices, it showed up and I transferred files to it. I plugged it into a windows computer and downloaded movies, plugged it into my iPad and Motorola phone and each played those movies. No apps, no spyware just plug and play. How big is it? It’s the size of a credit card and about as thick as a bare smart phone. I expected it to rapidly drain my device battery, not so much. Seems to affect my iPad more than my phone but it’s not terrible. It’s a few more spendies than some other options, but to me, the benefits are easily worth the difference. It even includes 2 cables, USB C to USB C and a USB C to USB.

Excellent Samsung quality and reliability
Samsung makes the most reliable solid state drives available. I only buy Samsung and have yet to have one fail. I bought this one to store music files that I play through my car stereo. It sits in the car permanently through hot Florida summers, and it has no issues. Supposedly this drive is also dust and water resistant, but I have no interest in testing that out. It does have a rubbery coating on it so it should protect it from drops onto hard surfaces. The input is standard USB-C. All in all, great product and an easy recommendation.

Fast, Tough, and Pocket-Sized — Essential for Creators
This little SSD is a beast. I use it for backing up audio sessions and video projects on the go, and the speed is unreal — I’m consistently getting over 900MB/s transfers with large files. The rugged design gives me peace of mind when I’m traveling or throwing it in a backpack. It’s shock-resistant, dustproof, and water-resistant — and still somehow sleek and super lightweight. The rubberized coating also keeps it from sliding off a desk. If you’re a content creator, musician, or gamer looking for reliable, high-speed storage, the T7 Shield is worth every penny.⭐️ Shure by Gator SH-BROADCAST1 Boom Arm ReviewHeadline: "Studio-Quality Feel — Smooth, Sturdy, and Clean"Review:This boom arm completely upgraded my setup. The build quality is top-tier — solid metal construction with a super smooth articulating action that doesn’t drift or sag, even with heavier mics like the SM7B. It looks pro, feels pro, and functions flawlessly. The hidden cable management is a huge plus — keeps everything clean and out of the way, which is great if you're on camera or just like a tidy desk. Mounting was simple, and it stays put once positioned. If you're podcasting, recording vocals, or streaming regularly, this is the boom arm to get.

Very legit so far.
Fast transfer, sleek and rugged. I haven't had it long purchased 5/24/25, but have not had data loss issues. Connects USB C. I am happy with it totally consolidated all my life files from all my past external, laptop, and pc towers harddrives. I am happy with it. I purchased a 2 terbyte to consolidate my music production files and decided to write review. Will give an update in future.

High quality, works great for games — no issues
Material feels really high quality and it looks great. No problems at all with connectivity—unless my cats knock the cord out, lol. Just a heads-up: the actual storage is a bit less than 2TB, but that’s normal for portable SSDs. I’ve been running games off of it and they load and run perfectly. Great little SSD overall.

Mostly love it!
Works pretty great aside from the cable it comes with! The cable fits too loosely, so if you end up having speed or connection issues it’s likely related to the stupid usb to c cable (easily replaceable with one you probably already have laying around).I’ve used it for nearly a yr now with zero issues (haven’t even replaced the cable yet). I mostly used it to transfer and store my gigantic audio/music library which takes up more than half the space (so glad I bought the 4TB size!!!!).I really love how I don’t have to worry about this SSD suddenly ejecting or quitting on me (or getting super hot) when transferring large amounts of data (sometimes from very old usb drives that take forever). It’s also never given me issues when I’ve forgotten to eject it before shutting everything down or when I accidentally unplugged it without ejecting etc. It’s very sturdy and reliable. One thing I definitely notice is that, from what I remember, this drive was released in 2020 but the price is nearly the same now as when I bought it last yr. I remember waiting forever for the price to go down before I bought but it just never did (barely even budged during Black Friday!). Unless you can find some deals elsewhere (which you might?) maybe don’t hold your breath for a sale.
