Good quality. I use them in warm weather when I need hand protection. I'll be ordering the same pair when mine wears out.

Good gloves for light work around the house or garage. Not the most robust, but way cheaper than the competition and fits true to size.

General Utility Glove - Good all around work glove for medium to light tasks
Ironclad makes a lot of gloves to fit all sorts of different work scenarios. They also come in all sorts of colors and materials. The trick is to getting the best glove for your specific job is to look at the Ironclad website and see what gloves are recommended for specific jobs. For example, these "General Utility Gloves" are great for working on cars/trucks, doing simple yard work, handling splintered wood that you might not want to touch barehanded. They are light weight, and not super thick. This gives you some dexterity and allows you to maneuver your hands and fingers accurately. These specific gloves are NOT designed or intended to be everything in one:Not water proof/resistant- your hands will get wet, as they should. Not fire proof/resistant- your hands will get burned, as they shouldNot chemical resistant- your hands will be exposedNot cut/needle/thorn resistant- Your hands will get cut/poked/stabbedSee where I am going with this? If you want gloves that do specific things, they look at gloves for those tasks. These gloves will absolutely get your tasks done at home or at work as long as you are reasonable and understand the limitations and intended use of these gloves.I recommend putting a pair of these gloves in your pickup or car, they will be an excellent tool when helping you to change a tire (if anyone doesn't automatically call a tow truck as I always see). They are also great for cleaning up a back yard, moving boxes, etc. You get a quality product for a fair price.Compared to Mechanix gloves? They are about the same in my opinion, but these are built a little better, the velcro closure on these is longer lasting and of better quality. Stitching is about the same and fill fail the higher abrasion materials you work with. Not a bad choice for under $20, and they will come in handy. Give it a try.

Love these gloves!
I don't really do much heavy duty work but for the tasks I have used these gloves for so far, they perform well, fit well and look great. I haven't washed them yet either and I don't know how they'll hold up over time but, so far, I enjoy them. I bought 2 pairs and keep one in my vehicle and one in my tools area.

Similar to “Ironclad Heavy Utility Work Gloves HUG…”
I bought one Medium pair in 2020 for $14 and it held up decently for 2-3 weeks of part-time heavy use in a facility with tons of twisted metal and fell apart rather quickly and easily after 1-2 weeks of full-time use under the same working conditions, although this is understandable for the work involved. Other observations…Personal pros:-Easy to slip off/on and adjust and somewhat comfortable to wear even in sweltering/freezing temperatures.-The palm and fingertip padding provide average impact resistance, allowing the wearer to quickly grab rough objects.-The backing provides adequate impact resistance.Personal cons:-The fingers and palm grip quickly wore down and developed holes, to the point where it felt as if I was wearing thick hole-filled socks over my hands.-The fabric easily absorbs moisture (sweat) and quickly becomes more expensive to clean compared to the purchase price.-The terry cloth sweat wipe area is tiny and redundant. Wearing a nice-fitting headband (I recommend “Poshei Mens Headband”s) is far preferable especially since, with how many surfaces these gloves can make contact with, it can be impossible to determine what is being transferred to the sweaty area.-The Amazon store page suggests they be hand washed in one section and machine washed in a different section, potentially throwing off buyers; I personally hand wash my gloves for maximum effect.Overall I recommend Ironclad gloves for lighter, more staggered work as opposed to constant and uninterrupted work. They fit well and are easy to adjust and provide moderate protection, but can quickly wear down and develop holes, smells and tears. They might not work well for the long-term, but these “Ironclad General Utility Work Gloves…” still get an average 3/5 stars!
