This is my second set of two. I have all my important info on them and carry one to keep my data in case something happens to the house while I am gone, stuff does happen. Anyway, I somehow lost one of the original ones and was bummed out. But I am hoping that it works well as I had a large passcode. I did wind up changing all my passwords which I should have done previously. In any case, I like the Datashur's security and got new ones and updated my passcode longer. It is a twitch test to change the passcode as others have noted. After 6 attempts, I got it, LOL! Another thing, in hindsight, is sometimes even if you put in the right code, it doesn't always turn on. I think that is another good thing if someone is trying the million permutations to get into it.

Just what I was looking for! I like having a copy of some documents on a secure drive. Yes, you can use cloud password/file vaults, but I like having the option of having it on a physical drive. With this one, the encryption is built into the thumb drive itself, so there is no software to update in order to use it. Just enter the password on the drive itself and plug it in. This is great because I also have a Chromebook and this works perfectly. Please understand that you have 10 seconds to enter your password, then the drive must be inserted within 30 seconds. No problem. It offers a nice option that lets you set the timeout period after which the drive turns off. Nice if you happen to leave it in your computer that's on. Don't forget your password. After 10 attempts it wipes your drive COMPLETELY, so you lose all your data and need to reformat the drive. Love this drive.

Although it was a little harder than the instructions say, programming a new security code, this is just what I needed. Now, we can keep abundant information on this and never worry about someone taking or viewing it. We run a home based business and have a couple of these now, all labeled differently, and easy to use, BOOM all of our information is right there.

This usb stick is great for storage that is extra secure. Works by keypad, and encrypts your data, it is excellent to have that added security. It's extremely well made, and the buttons may be small but they give a reassuring click with each press and although the instructions may at first seem complicated, once you know how to use it, it couldn't be easier. Ideal for storage of files protecting personal I.D. and business matters. Exellent product!

I have to say, shipping was extremely fast. The product looks solid, but not so user friendly. I bought this Datashur Pro 64g because my kingston DataTraveler 200 32g ran out of space, and since its is cheaper, might as well try it. It looks completely dentical, but user friendly wise, kingston is much easier to use. DataShur PRO doesnt let me change the default password, no matter how much i tried and how I tried it, it just doesnt work. Changing the intervals and speed of presses doesnt work at all. So after an hour of trial and error, i just stuck to the default password rather than damaging it. I give this a solid 3 stars, but i will update if the item breaks on me or overheats, as the other people are saying. UPDATED to 1 Star - after transferring 3 videos with a total of 1.2gb, it stopped letting me transfer more video. It would say downloading finished, but they never show up in the drive. Wasted money

Works perfectly so far! Using the security code is fairly easy, but I wish the buttons were larger. The case makes the item very secure and provides a tight seal to protect against all types of damage.

A waste of two hours. I charged the product as instructed for two hours. My computer is on the floor and after charging I pulled the device out to program on a flat surface and the first time the default PIN worked but not ten minutes later - so - found an USB extension cord and with the extension charging the device it would then load the default - pin. (But the information stated I could load the PIN while out of the device) Next step was to change the default PIN to my Pin. No luck . The Istorage included as well as online instructions said to push the the activate button twice - this did not work. I found an online YouTube that looked officiao with Istorage logos and the young lady held the activate pin for 3 seconds put her device in the correct mode. It seemed to be working for me - with appropriate audio response but not with the appropriate product led's and I could not find a way to change over from the defauilt PIN. I'm using a brand new HP. Basically two strikes - over four hours. I'm not going for three strikes.

It is a nice-looking USB with robust security features. Since I just got it the time will tell how good this truly is. So far so good!

After experiencing some issues, managed to get resolved, and has been a great purchase. Would recommend the product!

Good Packaging and Works as described

Encryption has sadly become a daily necessity. Putting all my personal information into some app has never appealed; is it really secure, what happens if the vendor disappears, etc. While I cannot confirm the security of the encryption on this device, it appears to meet high standards, enough to deter the average thief anyway. I like the portability, the device independence, the build quality. Pricey though but what value is your information? Main concerns are the built in battery - what happens if it goes completely flat - and the robustness of the buttons if used frequently. So, as always, have a backup...
