Great product replaces old adapter and is cheaper. Works with Samsung Link
Excellent product I highly recommend. I had never connected the wireless capabilities of my Samsung TV (Plasma 50 inch 550C model) due to the old type wireless adapter Samsung said was required in the owners manual. That other adapter (WIS09ABGN) was/is very expensive compared to this one. I read some reviews online at Amazon that recommended this and said it was a replacement for the older adapter. I ordered it and two days later when it arrived I connected it. It took only a couple of minutes to set-up and worked perfectly with the TV and my network. I then used the adapter to update all the software on the TV. Once the software was updated I was able to connect to the Samsung link on my PC. I can now send DVD files, photos, videos and music to my TV. All of the media is on my PC but the wireless adapter allows me to connect to the PC using the Samsung link (it replaces Allshare). I can have a movie on my PC, place in the Samsung link folder and watch it on the TV. Really cool and the adapter works great. It has never had a problem and price was awesome. I am very glad I bought it. Hope this helps someone out. Thanks.

Perfect / Cheaper alternative to Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN adapter
I purchased this item as a cheaper alternative to the Samsung WIS09ABGN Wireless LAN Adapter. I searched the internet for quite some time trying to find this item for a reasonable price and stumbled over a review that stated that this was a replacement for the WIS09ABGN adapter and would be compatible with my Samsung bd1250 Home Theater system. Keep in mind that the WIS09ABGN adapter sells on the Amazon marketplace for over $100. I found the WIS12ABGNX adapter on Amazon for less than $27 delivered. After speaking to Samsung customer support and being told that it WAS NOT compatible with my unit, I was concerned and disappointed but figured it was only 27 bucks and, if doesn't work, I can always unload it on eBay. The product arrived after about a week in excellent, like-new, condition in its original box with all of its original documentation. I plugged it in to the back of the unit and, much to my surprise, my bd-1250 was able to detect both mine and my neighbor's wireless network. I made a few attempts to connect to my network but they all failed. Keep in mind that I used the default settings and changed nothing. I noticed that signal strength was low so I used the supplied 6 inch usb-to-usb cable to move it closer to the front of my unit. That did the trick. I was able to connect to my home wireless network and am now enjoying Netflix movies in HD. I'm glad I ignored Samsung's advice that this WAS NOT compatible with my Home Theater - doing so saved me about $75. The WIS12ABGNX may not be a suitable replacement for the WIS09ABGN in ALL units but it works perfectly in mine.

Works Great
I moved into a new home where I wanted to stream movies to my TV; one upstairs, one downstairs. My modem and wireless router is in my "office", which means the signal has to go through at least two walls for each location. I haven't had the best luck with wireless in the past, especially when going through walls, so I tried an ethernet over powerline solution. That didn't work so well. The TVs were constantly dropping the network. Tried other devices (such as a Sony Blue-Ray player) and those didn't any better. So it wasn't the TVs. The only other solutions were ethernet over coax, running ethernet cables through the walls, or going wireless. I figured ethernet over coax could have the same issues as ethernet over power lines, so I opted for wireless (bonus points, it was cheaper). The setup involved was as follows: 1) Plugged up the LAN adapters to the TVs. 2) Disabled the wireless access control list on my router. 3) Copied down the router security pass phrase. 4) Went into network settings on each TV and set them to use a wireless connection. 5) Entered the pass phrase. 6) Added the TVs to the list of permitted devices. 7) Re-enabled my device access list. Voila. Secure, functioning TV. No wires. No drilling. I was kind of surprised it worked as well as it did. I watched TV off and on all weekend, and I had zero issues. Netflix worked flawless. I will say from past experience that going wireless may not work for everyone. If you are in an apartment or condo with lots of wireless access points you may get interference from those devices. I cannot see any other networks from within my house. I am a Netgear N900 Dual-Band Gigabit router, for reference.

Provides limited capabilities for the services that Samsung supports
As long as you're only interested in the applications (Netflix, Pandora, etc.) that are directly supported by Samsung for this particular device, it works as advertised. Being able to have anything you can do using a web-browser play through your TV is the end-game and this device has severe limitations in achieving that goal. You cannot, for example, stream a video to your PC and watch it on your TV using this device. Of course, you can plug your PC into your TV via an HDMI connection from your PC, but that is inconvenient. You can wirelessly "play" a video that is stored on your PC to the TV using Samsung software and this device. As I have no videos stored on my PC, instead streaming video from Amazon, this feature is useless to me. Amazon streaming is not supported by this device. One last caution regarding the device: the number keys on the remote control must be used to access content. You type a "b" by hitting the "2" key two times, for example, just the way text messages were entered on cell phones that only had a number pad. This makes it very tedious to access material from any of the available applications. All in all, this will get very limited use at our home.

I have a Samsung series 7 3D tv that came out right before the smart tv's did. It was a simple set up to just plug in and review the information and click ok. My Tv now has all of the functions as the new smart Tv's. I have bought a second unit for my other tv and it works just as well.
