PDP Afterglow Wired Controller for Xbox 360 - Red

If you are looking for a XBox 360 controller to work with Windows, then this is the choice for you. I use it to play MLB 2K12 on my laptop, which requires an XBox 360 controller. It does everything that a REGULAR XBox 360 controller is supposed to do and the commands/buttons are, for all intents and purposes, the same as the regular XBox 360 controller. The LED lights enhance the gaming experience, and are very popping and dazzling. I have used this on my HP Omen gaming laptop (with Windows), and the results are fantastic (specifically for something that is decently priced and not overly expensive for purchase). It uses a USB plug in, and is Plug-N-Play driver operated (at least on Windows 7, 8 , & 10), and the normal process of calibration might be required for certain uses or commands. However, if you are NOT trying to create any special profiles or tiers of commands or moves, then you PROBABLY won't have to calibrate anything. This only glows RED, so be forewarned. If you want another color, there are other options I believe on either this page or another Amazon ad page. If not, there is definitely the same product, with different color options on places like eBay or NewEgg, so there are other options & colors - but this one I'm reviewing is STRICTLY Red. This product is a 4.75 or 4.8 out of 5.0 (9.2/10), with the only drawback or con that I can really comment on being that after certain Windows updates, it does require a re-acquirement "scan" (for a lack of a better term). That might not be with the item though, as it might have to do with Windows. I often have to have my printer drivers reacquired after some updates, so this might be a Windows glitch not an Afterglow issue?!!?

A medium quality and cheap 360 wired controller, but with two major issues: the buttons wear out somewhat easily and the drivers can be INCREDIBLY finnicky. ive gone through 3 or 4 of these so far since they're the cheapest option (an official wired 360 controller for pc can cost $50+!!!!). Buy at your own risk.

the old Afterglow which is what is in the picture,seriously look at the top of that controller it's got that old style round hardwired part and then the place where the controller cord splits is about 3 in from the front of the Xbox so like if you tripped over the cord or whatever it comes out without ripping your Xbox off the stuff, those are an Easy four-star but these new ones have a cell phone plug in at the top of the controller and it's great that everything uses the same plug now but if you move your controller the slightest little bit when you play they get corrupted so easy I had one it got corrupted returned it had the other one they worked for about eight days combined I didn't even care to return it after the second one I just said I don't want to keep getting these you know now maybe you're a reserved type gamer and you don't move around at all with your controller they might be fine for you but for me that plug in place becomes corrupted so easy and then it either won't maintain a good contact or it won't maintain any contact I've had both with the two I had... what you need to do because it seems like all the hardwired ones are like this now is you need to go down to your local GameStop where you can look at which type of afterglow it is or just get the charge and play which is what I did... cuz I ain't got no money for Batteries either

This is the second Afterglow 360 controller I've purchased to date. I'm a PC gamer, but some games you just enjoy the most using a controller. My previous controller started having problems after 9-12 months of moderate use, when the right stick would accelerate down if left in the idle position. While this is a common problem for 360 controllers, there's no simple fix for it, so I gave in and bought this second controller. Overall, this works just like a good quality controller should, and the lights make a visually attractive bonus. I'd like to point out that this controller will not work on PC right out of the box on Windows 7. You will need to go to Microsoft's website and install their accessories software first: [...] Additionally, installing the software did not install the drivers automatically. I also had to go to device manager and specify the driver manually. You can do this by right-clicking the device and click update driver. Pick "Browse my computer...", "Let me pick...", then install the latest 360 controller driver under "Microsoft Common Controller...". I hope this helps save others from some of the frustration I went through during setup.

It did not come with a USB breakaway cable so it is useless unless you want a desk ornament. This controller is the black cable in the pictures. I happened to own another controller from the same brand which is the white cable. As shown, the USB connection was not shipped with this controller so you can't plug it in to an Xbox or even a PC. Completely useless. Given that I happened to have another breakaway, I swapped it over to test this controller. The good news is that it works. And it arrived in good condition for a used controller. I guess they get a bonus star for those two things.

Awesome wired controller and the lights are nice and bright and the vibration feature and the vibrating lights are a nice effect. The cable is also pretty long so you can stretch out without having to sit right next to the TV. Highly recommend this as a good secondary controller. I don't know if I would use it for precision shooting games, but for general gaming use it works great and is well worth the price. Plus being wired it doesn't chew through batteries.

Todo lo nuevo causa dudas... Pero la verdad es que este control es fantástico, causó sensación con mis hijas. Ya lo usamos en la XBOX 360 y además de estar a un super precio (40% más barato que el negro tradicional sin promoción), pues es de Microsoft, considero que original y ha funcionado a la perfección. Recomendado 100%. Por otro lado, el envío rapidísimo. Un día hice el pedido (al medio día) y al otro ya lo tenía en mi casa.

La personne qui l'a reçue pour Noël en est très satisfaite, cette manette filaire est compatible avec les PC et permet plus de confort pour certains jeux PC. Le fait que plusieurs couleurs d'éclairage existe permet d'assortir l'éclairage de la manette à celui du clavier de certains PC.

La manette marche très bien. RAS, les leds éclairent bien un petit côté tuning qui passe bien au même prix qu'une noire mat normale
