Sony Computer Entertainment Carrying Case

After doing research, I decided on this case. It's exactly what I was looking for, although, as others have stated, this is not going to save your Vita if you drop it. I like how it stays attached - it does not affect my gameplay at all, and truth be told, I like the very slight extra weight it adds. This is a steal at less than $10 - I would have been satisfied with it had I paid full retail. Only minor criticism I could come up with is it does not have a cut out at the bottom for the charger plug - you have to open the case to get to it; like I said, a minor criticism. It looks great (it's an official product), and it functions great. Five stars.

Quality case for a great price. Great feel to the case and all functions well. Covers the Vita for simple protection but in a slimming way. Kick stand props up and works as well. NOTE: This is a simple travel case, just easy protection over the Vita when you throw it in your bag and go. This case is NOT met for heavy duty handling. Get too rough with it or drop it and it's not going to protect the Vita from it.

When I first got The official Sony Vita Case, I was satisfied. While it didn't protect the Vita as well as my old Logitech Case did for my PSP, it did keep the screen safe while the Vita was in my pocket/bag and it's use as a stand to display the Vita while watching videos was much appreciated. Sadly, the design of the case requires you to snap the Vita to the case via a harness like device. In theory, this works well because it allows the case to dangle from the Vita while playing the system and allows access to the back touch panel. After less then two months of use, this harness has broke, and my Vita can no longer snap to the case, and now it's more or less useless. I can still place the Vita in the case to keep the screen safe while traveling, but any protection this already lacking case provided is gone out the window if I were to drop my Vita. If you do decide on getting the official Sony Case, my best advice would be to leave the Case snapped to the Vita at all times to attempt and keep the harness from snapping. However, playing with the case dangling from the Vita can be distracting and get in the way of gameplay, and is less ideal. Before the harness broke, I would have given this three stars for just being satisfactory, but considering this thing broke in less then two months, I can't really recommend it to anyone, especially since it seems like their are far better cases out there for less or near equal price.

This device is great for newcomers collecting games and accessories for the fan revival of the PSVita 1000. - It has an awkward wonky grip playing your vita in this case since the case feels slightly flimsy around the edges. - this really is a learning curve putting this thing on the hooks in the case and taking it off for cleaning or if you just want to play at home(when you don’t need the case and aren’t on the go). - I’ve noticed after a while too, the leather(faux-leather) started to rip and fall apart making the case look and feel cheaper than it is. You’ll need some type of leather oil or something to keep that from happening. Otherwise, it’s a decent beginner case for newcomers as I’ve stated earlier

You may think that it gets in the way, and i have found that it is indeed so, but not to the point that it is a major nuisance. It hooks to the "rings" in the bottom left and right hand corners of the vita, and has a beam of plastic that conforms to the end of the vita. This "beam" is about one centimeter high. The case itself is attached to this via two (strong) strips of cloth-y material. The case transforms into a case by folding the front of the case towards the back, and then pulling out the velcro-secured panel. This panel is fastened to the case by a ribbon, so that it doesnt turn around the hinge so much that it the case falls over. I haven't been using it as a stand at all, so I cant say if it is a good angle or not. What i have been using that panel for, however, is storing my other gamecard. You could slot the game card in between the vita case and the panel, and then secure the panel with the velcro. It's almost guaranteed it wont fall out, unless you accidentally open it.

this case is perfect for what it is, i wanted something to carry my vita without worrying about scratching the screen and the stand works fine. However if your buying this so you can drop your vita of a skyscraper you will be disappointed. pros 1 sturdy and well built 2 easy to put on and take off 3 protects screen well 4 lightweight and compact wont add extra bulk 5 stand is easy to use cons 1 doesn't protect the sides of vita 2 not comfortable to play the vita with the case on (easy to take case off) 3 no room for storage 4 wont survive a drop from 6 plus ft

This is an actual PS3 case-I ordered it to protect my PSP Vita when I travel. I have not traveled to any extent to date, but till keep it on in case I drop it and to help keep dust and dirt out. Very easy to put on and you can leave it on while you play. The price I paid was right too so I made the purchase even though I did not need it right away. I would highly recommend this case for its ease of use and ability to keep it on while playing. It is lightweight as well and not bulky.

This does not fit with the Borderlands Slim Vita. I called customer support with Sony to see if they had a clip that would fit, they said they only provide technical support (through chat and phone support). They said I should contact the retailer. Obviously Amazon refunded the purchase and even looked to see if there was another case that may work. I am frustrated that a company would push their first party product as the responsibility of the retailer. I would have expected Sony to provide a clip that could be used with the slim, or deliver the messaging that this will only work on the original vita and there is no intention of making a similar product for the slim.
