Didn’t really connect with the characters and wasn’t invested in Will and Violets story. Tbh only really kept reading to find out the conflict. It wasn’t the best book but it did give me the summer vibes that I was looking for. Think a lot of people will enjoy this one. Wasn’t a big fan of Violet, kinda disappointed by her character but liked that she held herself accountable at the end.Overall an ok read.

pretty good but it's no 'the summer i turned pretty'
This was marketed to me as the summer i turned pretty for older readers, so i was super excited.I would’ve adored this if I’d connected with the characters a lil more, and 99% of the side characters felt 2 dimensional as well.the conflict was actually pretty realistic and not one of those where you think jesus christ is THIS why they've fallen out?The setting is immaculate by the way and it was really easy to picture the scenes in my head.
