Easy to work!
I am very happy with this thermostat. It's very easy to work, not like the previous one that I took back to Lowes.

Almost perfect
I had to do a lot of research when replacing a very old Trane Weathertron mercury thermostat. So many wires! But I figured it out and got this installed and working.Everything works perfect BUT for whatever reason when the backlight is off, I can see all the modes on the screen which makes it hard to see what the temperature is without turning the backlight on. No one else here seems to have this problem, so I guess it's just my unit. It doesn't affect the way it works at all so I will just deal with it I guess.

Easy to Use
I use these in all my rentals. Tenants tend to think they are computer programmers with a programmable thermostat and tend to screw them up to the point I had to have an HVAC technician straighten them out . Now if they want cool, switch to cool. If they want heat switch to heat.

Could use better instructions and support for wiring
Hooked up wires as suggested in the instructions. Heating while in cooling mode and cooling while in heating mode. Rewired the reversing valve operation. Works correctly now. Still cannot get the emergency heat to come on.Would be nice to have an 800 number to call for assistance while installing the t stat.Overall, looks nice.Screen could be larger

VERY GOOD PRODUCT SO FAR.
THIS IS A SIMPLE PRODUCT. IT SEEMS TO WORK JUST FINE. I HAD A PROFESSIONAL HOOK IT UP AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE NOT HAD IT HOOKED UP FOR VERY LONG SO WE'LL SEE IF IT REMAINS IN MY HIGH STANDINGS.......... ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Horrible Design: It runs your AC when you set it to HEAT!
So I installed this over the summer and it was working fine for cooling. Come this fall we tried to use the heat but noticed when it was supposed to be heating it was actually cooling. So I checked the wiring and the settings, nothing wrong. It was set to GAS in the menu and all wiring was correct. So I took the panel off and tested what the unit is doing. When you turn on AC, the R should connect to Y (AC turn on) and G (fan turn on). That worked. When you set it to Heat, the R should connect to W (Furnace turn on) and G (fan turn on) and should NOT connect to Y (AC turn on). That FAILED. It did NOT connect to W (furnace) instead it STILL CONNECTED to Y (AC) and G. It also connected to W2, which I could have made work if it didn't connect to Y for some stupid reason which makes the AC compressor turn on. So I read someone else had to use EMH to make their furnace work with this thing. I tested that and it did connect R to W, but did NOT connect R to G! So I though maybe if I change from GAS to ELEC it would work. That did it, now R connects G and W and W2 but not Y so GAS furnace will turn on and not AC compressor. This is a poorly designed unit, we should not have to set it to Electric and use EMH switch position to get it to properly turn on the GAS heat!
