1602 uses a standard 16-pin interface, including:
VSS : Ground power
VDD:Connect to 5V positive power supply
V0:Use to adjust the contrast of the LCD. The contrast is the weakest when connected to the positive power supply. The contrast is the highest when connected to the ground power.When the contrast is too high . The contrast can be adjusted by a 10K potentiometer.
RS:for the register selection, Select the data register when the level is high, and select the instruction register when the level is low.
R/W :Work as the read-write signal line, read operation when high level, write operation when low level. When RS and RW are low the same time, you can write instructions or display addresses, when RS is low, RW is high, you can read the busy signal, when RS is high, RW is low, you can write data.
E: Work as the enable terminal. When the E terminal changes from high level to low level, the LCD module executes the command
D0 to D7: 8-bit bidirectional data lines.
