They are like eating wood, but kinda sweet. It we’ll take some getting used to.

They are naturally a bit tough on the outside.. The skin is sort of like psyllium husk when chewed. I gently chew it at first to break up its protective exterior before biting down. The inside is sweet and not as chewy as coconut. I wash down the husky skin at the last with water rather than swallow by itself. I think it needs some liquid to help it pass through the throat. I tried soaking but it wasn’t worth it to me. It’s good and I like them. Nice for breakfast in its own way. These are the only brand I have tried and it’s my first experience with them.

These were too hard to chew and when put in water to make “milk” would not soften at all even after days.

I read about this particular nut and thought it would be something delicious. It was not my favorite. It was a very strange consistency. I would not buy these again.

Although they have a sweet flavor, they have an Odd texture and they make me go potty.

A bit different, that's for sure. Does not taste bad - a little bit like coconut. I ate them both pre-soaked and right out of the bag - an OK snack, a bit fibrous maybe. Like I said, not bad, but not tasty enough to make me buy them again. But I had to try...
