These Klipsch RP-8000F II tower speakers have been an excellent upgrade to my home system. They have a beautiful walnut finish and look great with the grills in place, or remove them to show off those gorgeous cerametalic woofers! I paired these speakers with an Onkyo NR TX-656 receiver, a Polk PSW505 subwoofer, a Klipsch R-52C center channel speaker, and a pair of Klipsch R-51 bookshelf speakers as surrounds. I am extremely happy with the sound I get with no added EQ. The bass is deep and punchy, the vocals are clear, and the highs are crystal clear. It fills my living room with warm, realistic music and sound effects from action movies. The RP-8000F II's are large speakers, standing 43 inches high. They have sturdy encloses and are very durable. Heavy, too, at 62 pounds each. Setup is easy with the installed binding posts. I used 14-gauge oxygen-free speaker wires and banana clips to make it easy to install or move the speakers. The on-screen menu system in the Onkyo receiver makes configuration and tweaks very simple. These are great speakers for the price, and deliver great sound and functionality in a beautiful package that will look great in your home!

These speakers are great for music and can handle a wide dynamic range of sounds. I use them mostly for listening to music, but they are great for movie night also. These speakers are large and should not be considered if you have a tight space. The only negative comment I have is that the speakers were damaged each time they were delivered. Amazon was great with the return process, but I eventually had to pick up a pair locally. I purchased the RP-8000F II over a year ago to improve my front stage. After a decade of solid sound from my Pioneer VSX-1122k receiver, I moved up to a Dennon AVR-X4800h for the Dolby Atmos and other enhancements this receiver brings over my old Pioneer. Within minutes of connecting the new AVR to my old speakers it became evident that I must upgrade my front tower speakers. After researching and testing several speakers, I found this speaker to be my choice. The RP-8000F II sounded great out of the box. Since I was home alone for a week, I played my eclectic mix of soft rock, latin jazz, swing, funk and roots reggae for days and watched a few Marvel movies. By the third day there was a noticeable improvement in the sound and the speakers settled in. These speakers can handle a lot of bass and has well balanced mids and highs. After a week of breaking the speakers in, I calibrated the RP-8000F II with the rest of the speakers I had which include a pair of Klipsch SPL-150 subwoofers.
