The SHIMANO Flat Pedals PD-GR40 are absolutely fantastic! These pedals provide exceptional grip, which gives me great confidence and control on all kinds of terrain. Whether I'm on a rugged trail or just cruising around town, my feet stay securely in place, even during the most intense rides. The build quality is top-notch, and the pedals feel durable and well-made. They handle rough conditions with ease and still look great after months of heavy use. Installation was a breeze, and they’ve been a game-changer for my riding experience. However, a word of caution—because the grip is so strong, if your foot does slip, the pins can give your leg a nasty scrape. It’s something to be mindful of, especially if you’re riding without shin protection. Despite this, I wouldn’t trade the secure footing these pedals provide for anything else. Overall, the SHIMANO Flat Pedals PD-GR40 are an excellent choice for any serious rider. Just be careful, and enjoy the ride! Highly recommended!

The grip is outstanding, even in wet conditions, thanks to the well-placed pins that securely hold my shoes in place. The build quality is what you expect from Shimano and they are durable and lightweight, perfect for long rides. Installation was straightforward, and they performed flawlessly on various terrains. I bought these to replace the pedals that came with my new bike. I knew I wanted something to help my feet stay on the pedals, but for casual riding I didn't really want to get into one-sided, clipless pedals. These offer loads more grip than the Cannondale ones that came off - almost no chance of a wet foot slipping off under my normal usage. Clearly the downside is that the grip is pretty savage. I've not done it yet, but I'm sure it will be painful scraping my shin.

I've had these on my bike for a few weeks now and I'm impressed with them. They're grippy, have smooth bearings and don't spin loads like a lot of cheaper pedals, they also look great and have a nice and comfortable platform shape, unlike many other platform pedals.

Great pedals I put these on my Specialized Allez road bike as the standards weren't grippy enough on wet days these look great and grippy

I love these they're good quality and really simple to install, they weigh pretty light too.

Bought these to upgrade one of my bikes and I’m very happy with the purchase, a quality Shimano product, I've spent much more on Crank brother products that are no better. Would recommend, very good product with great grip and very reasonably priced.

Sie laufen leichtgängig und halten problemlos viele tausend Kilometer durch, ohne spürbaren Verschleiß zu zeigen.

Dopo il terzo acquisto di pedali Ho trovato finalmente quelli perfetti per la mia E byke Scott . Questi pedali hanno i PIN più lunghi della media visto che io d'inverno utilizzo delle scarpe più pesanti e con la suola più marcata, è per questo mi servivano dei pedali che facessero una buona presa. Non tralasciando il fatto che li ho trovati molto leggeri e ben costruiti (essendo fatti da Shimano non avevo dubbi) danno veramente una sensazione di stabilità incredibile il piede non scivola mai anche nei percorsi più complicati come il Downhill... Certo bisogna stare attenti ai contatti con lo stinco... Li ricomprerò senz'altro.

These Shimano pedals exude solid reliabilaty for years to come. The bearings are smooth feeling and are free from crunching noises my previous pedals had who's service life was short lived.

Muy buenos pedales, se nota la calidad de Shimano desde el primer momento. El agarre es brutal, el pie queda firme incluso en bajadas y baches. Se sienten resistentes y bien hechos, perfectos para MTB, gravel o e-bike. Si buscas unos pedales con buen tacto y una marca de confianza, estos son una apuesta segura.
