Works well and very reliable

Bought this for a golf trip to Portugal. Once connected to the app it was good to go. Found time and date automatically through gps, loaded the exact course I was on in seconds and gave accurate yardages. It’s basic but perfect. Bought 3 weeks ago and used for 4 rounds of golf, still has 50% battery!!!

I bought this as a replacement for my Tom Tom watch. This is the lower spec but I just need an idea of distances for my club selection, this is ideal as it gives me the information I need to hit the green and avoid hazards at a reasonable price. It’s comfortable to wear and once you get used to the function of the buttons it’s readable easy to operate. Selection of functions on the menu can be a bit awkward until you get used to it but not too difficult.

Bought this Garmin S12 watch (2022 model) to replace my Sky Caddie which even though it is still very functional, sky are discontinuing it from its satellite therefore I will no longer be able to use it. The Garmin S12 is just as accurate, it is so light you don't even know you are wearing it, easy to use and has great features to boot. It has 40,000 or more more preset courses with no additional fees to pay. Just wish I had done this years ago. This excellent piece of kit is worth every penny compared to the other one I have been using. Don't be afraid to buy.

I have tried my Apple 8 watch with a ton of different apps ( mainly paid), range finders and I still want happy. Wanted something quick, accurate and without me messing around. I was skeptical on this, but honestly its been absolutely brilliant. The battery life is insane, I've played 3 x 18 holes over the course of last 10 days since charging and its still on 50% battery ( I only use it for golf though, not through the day) There is no data payment, courses all load a up within a few mins of you arriving. Yardage seems really accurate - would 100% recommend this. PS - I'm still crap at golf though, it doesn't help you with that :)

I've been using the watch for just over 2 months which equates to around 16 rounds of golf for me. It's been used mostly at my home club at East Berks but also 3 times on a course in Tobago. With the exception of the first 4 holes at my home club, when it was very foggy, the watch has started up quickly and provides me with the basic information that I require. I'm mainly using it for distance for the green and also the major hazards/bunkers. I'm very happy with the watch which is currently providing me with 4 rounds of golf for each charge.

Gift but husband loves it

I got this as a bargain on Prime Day and was a little concerned as it is described as "Entry Level". However that's probably a good description also of my golfing skills! It doesn't do fancy things like shot tracking where it allows you to record the club used to hit every shot, but there are Apps for that for the few occasions you would want to do it. What this watch does is a) Give you distance to the hole (Front, middle or back of green by default or you can choose one of about 12 standard pin locations on a standard green), b) enable you to measure individual shots (like the one shot per round that you want to know the distance it went), c) manually keep score and number of putts and whether you hit the fairway. It also does all of the above in an easy way: It simply shows yardage when you stand at the ball, It automatically asks you to enter score, putts and where your drive went when you stand on the green . It then advances to the next hole when you have entered the last hole. I also use a phone based app when I want more detailed info recording but for a normal round I simply would not bother.

Very confusing operation…especially when trying to capture correct hole u r playing…

Couple of metres off from the centres of some of the greens at my local course. Believe a report to Garmin can get this fixed.

This Garmin S12 has never worked properly. When I ordered in April 2024 I was originally charged for and sent 2 Garmins. I returned one in May last year, as I only needed one. However the second one which I kept and used has always been faulty. I do not have the original order number but would now like to return this second one too. Please advise
