CY eSATA to USB C Cable USB Type C Male Host to eSATA eSATAp HDD Cable for Laptop PC

Effective so I can still use my terra bites of storage and at a reasonable speed. I have lots of HDD storage that was unusable really until I got this.

I bought this cable to connect my 10 year old G-Raid drives (which only have e-sata and firewire ports) to a modern laptop (USB-C). It works fine. The drives need to have their own power supply of course.

bought to use with my Mac Studio M1 and connect to WD studio ii drive. It does NOT work! makes my computer hang, makes wifi stop working, and can't return as its been more than 30 days! (I was moving house and so didn't get a chance to try it until id re setup my computer in my new office!) Poor - DO NOT BUY, amazon won't help, company who supplied cable won't help. STAY WELL AWAY

Connected the eSATA to my external hard drive and then the usb-c to mac but the drive thens not recognised.

Fa quello che ci si aspetta. Permette di collegare dei vecchi HD con prese eSata con i nuovi portatili che hanno ormai solo più USB C, mantenendo velocità molto elevate.

Parfait pour relier un iMac avec ports usb-C (Thunderbolt 3) à un disque dur externe sur lequel résident des documents et des applis (jeux), tout fonctionne. Le câble est relativement cher mais efficace.

CORRECCION Formateé el RAID, y ahora funciona perfectamente con APFS. La velocidad en mi caso, con una unidad muy antigua, es de unos 3GB/s, cuando (si) tenga acceso a un disco capaz de 6G/s lo probaré. ORIGINAL Estoy usando el cable con un Mac mini M1 y un antiguo RAID que conectaba por Firewire. Inicialmente con el RAID formateado en APFS me daba problemas (podia copiar un archivo pero no borrarlo, y después de la primera operación se negaba a escribir) Lo he usado con una caja externa que también tenia antes por FW y funcionaba bien con un disco en MacOS extended. He reformateado el RAID en MacOSExtended y ahora parece que va bien. A la velocidad que cabe esperar, claro. No me atrevo a recomendarlo cpara almacenamiento principal, pero para salir de un apuro parece que vale.

I purchased this e-sata to USB C cable to get faster speed from an old G-speed RAID to a new Mac Book Pro which only has USB C connections. As soon as I plugged it in the speed increase was noticeable. The cable looks and feels very sturdy, it appears to be well made and it works flawlessly.
