Worked perfectly on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo AWD
This items Works with a full aize sledgehammer - took off a front wheel bearing of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo AWD. I soaked the mating surface of the bearing hub and the knuckle with PB Blaster penetrating oil beginning the night before. The next afternoon it took about 10 minutes of hammering with the sledge from the top down and the bottom up on the tool, but the bearing came right off. No way I was going to remove that hub bearing with only a hand sized 2.5lb sledge. If you live in the rust belt (I'm in PA), yiu want the full length sledge hammer to whail on this thing. But it Does work.

70 year old fixed his subaru wheel hub
5 years ago we drove from Ohio to Jupiter Fl to visit our daughter. On the way down our 2014 Subaru Forester developed a wheel hub noise. I have changed numerous wheel hubs in my lifetime without any major issues. When we got to Jupiter I tried to change the rear wheel hub but failed so I took it to a auto shop. They spent all day trying to get the wheel hub out and finally did with heating it several time. Cost me a bunch. We now have a 2016 Subaru Forester and my wife on returning from New Jersey developed a wheel hub noise. I jumped on Youtube to figure out how to change the wheel hub. Almost every video of someone changing the wheel hub of a rust belt driven subaru forester was a nightmare. There were numerous different ways to try and get it out. I am now 70 years old and crawling around on cement in my garage was making me reconsider even trying to change this Forester wheel hub. But then I found the video with this universal wheel hub remover and felt it was worth a try, because I did not want to pay all the labor cost at an auto shop. Thank God for the inventor of this tool. I was able to use my sledge hammer and after a few hits the wheel hub pops loose. Since it was so helpful i decided to change both rear wheel hubs because Subaru Foresters are known for them needing changed. I give this product one negative because the washers and nuts that come with it are crap. I went to Gilmans Hardware and picked up some number 8 washers and nuts because the first hub I did bent the washers. I highly recommend this tool!!!

Durable
Did alright. Slightly inexpensive washers, built very well with good welds! (I’m personally a welder and inspector). Just wish there was a way to alternate position as some wheel hubs need multi-directional persuasion.

Well built but did not break free the wheel bearing
Did not work for us, we tried this one first then went to a more traditional bearing pulled and the other worked perfectly. I’m sure there is a place for this on some bearings but not effective on a Subaru wheel bearing.

Works great on rusty crusty Subaru rear bearings
This tool worked great on a Subaru rear bearing. A friend had to replace both rear bearings on his 2017 Impreza. The passenger side came out in 3-4 swings of the sledge hammer. The drivers side we were unable to get out and ended up taking the entire knuckle to a shop to have them press it out. Even that didn’t work so he was able to find a replacement at the local bone yard. So no fault of this tool. That bearing is seized in there until the end of time. This was the best priced version I was able to get delivered the next day. The only negative I’d have to point out is that none of the included nuts fit the Subaru lugs. I had a handful of extra lug nuts so we were able to utilize those. Other than that I highly recommend this type of tool to remove rusty and crusty wheel bearings.

Didn't work for me up here with the salty roads
Didn't work out for me up here in New England. Not sure they will ever be able to design a tool to get these hubs out. The hub split into two pieces, now I have to pull the whole knuckle and hope a shop can press it out.

With ease
2014 Subaru Crosstrek front hub would not budget with the air hammer, but three hits with this tool, and it fell on the floor. Great tool, great build quality.

Was skeptical... but it only took 2 hits with the mall and hub assembly fell out ..everyone in the shop uses it now

Use it daily. Removed rusty wheel bearing on 2008 Silverado no problem . A must have tool if you work in winter climates where they use salt on the roads .

It would have been great if it had a case and better wheel nuts all And all I give it a 8 out of 10

Removal of a wheel hub assembly on your truck or SUV. The right tool makes the job much easier. Sturdy construction, this tool gives you the leverage to remove the hub easily. Package comes with bolts, nuts & washers.

bought this for a 2000 dodge wheel bearing. this tool actually didn’t work to break it free. however i beat on it hard and it took the beating. Tool is made well. In the end i had to start the truck and use the power steering pump trick by turning the wheel with a metal bar braced agaist frame and the the hub slowly broke free.
