Grounded
Replaced a dryer cord that did not have a specific grounding wire. The ground was attached to the neutral wire at the dryer which is not ideal. This cord solves that problem with a specific ground wire that connects back to ground wire coming from the panel.

With this cord, you can easily comply with the new electrical code
With this 4-prong cord, you can easily equip your dryer or stove to bring it into compliance with the most recent national electrical code. Unlike the 3-prong plugs for small electrical appliances (whose three prongs are for the "hot" wire, the neutral wire, and the ground wire, respectively), the 3-prong plugs for stoves and dryers have prongs for two "hot" wires, and a single prong for both neutral and ground connections. The new 4-prong plugs provide a prong for each of the two "hot" wires, and separate prongs for ground and neutral connections. This decreases the likelihood of accidents. The conversion is simple. You must first unplug your dryer (do not forget this step!), detach the connection cover, and remove the strain relief clamp. Then you should see that the three wires from the electrical cord are attached to three terminals within the appliance. You will need to detach all of these wires and remove the 3-prong cord. To install the 4-prong electrical cord, you need to locate the white (neutral) wire within the appliance and detach it from the ground terminal to which it is connected (usually with a green screw). This internal white wire and the white wire from the electrical cord must both be attached to the center terminal. The green wire from the electrical cord must be attached to the ground terminal from which you removed the internal white wire. The black wire from the electrical cord should be attached to the left terminal, and the red wire should be attached to the right terminal. Then you should re-attach the strain relief clamp and the cover. This conversion should reduce the chances of electrical shock or worse. The installation process is simple, and you should be able to use this cord with virtually any dryer. Cords are available in different lengths--what you prefer will depend on your situation.

The quality of the cable is very good. On the surface it looks as good as ...
I purchased this to replace a 3 wire connector, as I moved to a new home that needed the 4 wire cable. As a non-electrician I wasn't sure how to wire this into my dryer and there were no instructions in the package, but a quick google search found a video that showed exactly what to do.The quality of the cable is very good. On the surface it looks as good as the OEM wire that it replaced.

Even I can do it!
I have always wanted to be 'handy' but it's never quite worked out that way. So, when we moved into a house that had a different plug than our dryer, we panicked. Do we have to buy a new dryer now?!?! Doing some research I found we just needed a cord. I decided I would try and replace this myself (in the back of my head picturing my electrocution from messing up). Well, a month later, the dryer still works, the house hasn't burned down, and I'm still alive. So, it really was easy to change, worth the money and if I can do it, so can YOU!

Great low cost dryer cord
Nothing like saving 25-%-50% on a power cord as compared to buying it from an appliance or big box store. By the way, I got the 6' cord not because I needed a longer cord but only because it was just about the same price as the 4' cord, however for my hookup I really should have gotten the shorter cord because the 6' one is just too long and with the heavy gauge wire that this is, that extra wire takes up a fair bit of space.

Good product- would buy again.
It works as it should, seems well built and at a much cheaper price than Home Depot or Lowes. I bought this one because I know its made or at least has the name of a reputable company on it unlike some others I have seen. I don't want to take the risk of an unknown dealing with 230 v power. I like that its 6' instead of 4, it allowed me to switch where my washer and dryer sat.
