The sixth studio album by the American rock band. Features the singles 'Love Her Madly' and 'Riders on the Storm'. Review: Their last and possibly greatest album - This LA Woman reissue from 2021 celebrating 50 years is a fantastic remaster. This is possibility the best doors album they released with LA Woman, Love her Madley, Been Down So Long, Riders of the Storm and Crawling King Snake. This is 100% a Blues Album and shows how the Doors evolved from a psychedelic sounding band from their original to a pure blues band. This was a band at their peak but at the same time trying to keep it together. Jim Morrisons smooth singing voice is gone and replaced with a gravelly bluesy sound. Incredible. 3 months after this was released, Jim Morrison was gone but their legacy is forever more. What a Band and what an album. Review: Excellent vinyl reissue - Owned this LP when it first came out. This is a great vinyl reissue. Heavy weight vinyl with original see through cover. Superb quality sound. Played through a project debut evo turntable, old harbeth speakers and a musical fidelity m2 si amplifier it sounds wonderful. Far better than the original in my view.

Masterpiece....but...
The Doors' Masterpiece itself isn’t the issue, but it arrived scratched on side 2, starting from the bottom last song. It skips repeatedly on 'Riders on the Storm' and ruined my mood. Return started, and I’ll reorder another copy

First, L.A. Woman is already a well-known classic. If you’re here, hopefully you’re already familiar with the material. If not, basically you need to know it’s considered by many to be the best album the Doors made. The title track and Riders On The Storm are essential rock songs from the late 60’s - early 70’s. I picked up this particular pressing because I had read that Bruce Botnick and Bernie Grundman had done a great job with remastering and cutting the lacquer it. Those reviews were spot on. This is now a reference recording for me. The clarity and soundstage are exceptional. Vocals are crisp, smooth, and rich - never too bright or sibilant. Instruments are well defined and 3 dimensional. The vinyl is quiet and has no production flaws. I wish all records pressed today met this standard. Easily 10/10.
