This Learning Resources Sort & Seek Polar Animals set is a fantastic learning tool for toddlers! This was a Christmas gift from me to my son. He's 2 and he has been finding many ways to play with them for about a year. Now that he is starting to count they have become more of a learning toy. We use them to learn numbers, as the animals and igloos are numbered, and we also use the igloos for learning about color. The animals can also be used as a teaching tool, of course. He likes to open the igloos, take out the animals, and put them back in. Now that he's a little older he can follow instructions like "put the walrus into the igloo" or "point to the purple igloo" etc. I do think spending time with the toys has helped him to be able to follow these instructions, so I think they are very good for learning and development. I think you could easily see these in a preschool or day care as well as at home. I like that the igloos and animals are numbered in different ways, one with numbers and one with pictures (4 snowflakes on it for the "4" animal), for visual learners.

These were a big hit to play in our insta-snow. They were easy to use and I loved the fact that the company included a brochure of possible activities toddlers could use. I washed them in the sink with soap and water, by hand, and they help up well. We used them for a Candy Land sensory play.

He loves opening and closing the igloos. The animals inside are super cute. This toy can grow with him as he begins to learn matching , counting, and number recognition !

My toddler loved these! They can be a bit hard to open at first, but they loosen up the more you play with them.

The pieces are easy to use and perfectly sized for smaller hands, making it ideal for younger children. There are also plenty of opportunities to introduce new vocabulary and animal names, which adds another layer of learning through play. The animals are cute, sturdy, and well made, and children really enjoy exploring and discovering them. A brilliant educational toy that combines fun and learning — highly recommended.

Excelente juguete. Me ha encantado este juguete para mi hijo de 18 meses y a el le encanta. Me lo trae todos los días para jugar. Es muy educativo , permite trabajar la motricidad para abrir los iglús y cerrarlos. El material es inmejorable. Tacto muy agradable, no se rompe ni se marca cuando el niño los tira, al principio el no era capaz de abrir los iglús y descubrió que al lanzarlos contra el suelo se abrían , y están intactos. Ahora ya es capaz de abrirlos. Sirven para aprender los colores, y emparejar cada animal de un color con su iglú, ara aprender el nombre de algunos animales, para aprender los números ...los animalitos tiene un hueco para meter el dedo, son cinco, uno por cada dedo de la mano y cantar o interpretar para el bebé. Creo que da mucho juego y le sacaremos partido. Es muy bonito, original y educativo, lo recomiendo para regalo. Y ya he pensado que cuando crezca, los iglús funcionarán como unas cajitas monísimas para guardar pequeños juguetes.

Ich verwende die Iglus mit den Tieren im Kindergarten an einer Sonderschule. Da passiert es immer wieder, dass diese runter fallen. Abgesehen von Kratzern sind die Iglus immer noch intakt und die Kinder spielen gerne damit.
