Helpful after adapting.
I have one leg shorter than the other from a birth defect and have known for years that I needed a heel lift. I haven't used the ones that I have had in the past because they kept slipping around and were just a nuisance. After a doctor's visit showed that my 48 year old right knee was in the early stages of arthris because of the lack of alignment, I realized I needed to do something. I ordered these because of the other reviews and I found them to be everything that everyone said: the gel was comfortable, the yellow spot was not. They didn't smell bad after wearing, either. It was an ok answer, but not the best. Then I made a couple of adaptations. 1. I pulled out my shoe's insoles and placed the heel lift in and then replaced the shoe's insole. This not only helped make them less noticable, they also prevented them from slipping. 2. As I only needed one heel lifted, I turned the other one over and used it in another shoe. 3. I first tried to slip it in to fit the form of the shoe (right lift turned upside down to align with the left foot shoe). That made the yellow middle hurt like crazy. I then just turned it up with the cushion side down. It didn't fit exactly, but with the shoe's original insole above it, it wasn't noticeable at all. 4. I will note that I used them in my dress shoes and my tennis shoes both. The tennis shoes had their insoles replaced by Dr. Scholl's athletic insoles. The tennis shoes with upgrades insoles were perfect. I'm going to change the dress shoes out to better insoles. All in all, this was one of the best adaptions I have ever made. Just spoke to my Orthopedic doc and he said I was a genius. As much as I pay him, I'm sure he's very smart. Good lifts... I recommend them. I'm buying another set because I have 4 sets of shoes.

Now I am balanced
For years friends have remarked that my left shoulder was lower than my right, and it was visible in photos as well as when I stood before a full-length mirror. My tailor remarked that my left leg was a half inch shorter than my right, which is not per se unusual, and would tailor my trousers accordingly. Several weeks ago, I ordered this half inch lift, and the results are substantial. After placing it in my left shoe my shoulders are now even, and my hips are not slightly tilted to the left. These are well made, but very slightly uncomfortable if you put them without a more giving cover. However, I quickly got used to their being firm, there was zero chafing with regular socks, but my greatest worry was that they would slip out of place over a day of walking. Not so, because they stay put perfectly due to being longer than just a heel riser, but not so long that one's foot is cramped at the ball and toe of the foot. Only downside is that you get two left and two right, and I only needed the left. I will have to order again to get two more left, so I have enough for topsiders, running shoes, etc., although they can easily be pulled out of one shoe and put into another; there is no adhesive to deal with. This was a game changer. I suppose if gaining height is your only need then use both, but if you have one leg shorter than the other (and you might not realize it) then these are excellent to balance your posture and make walking more fluid and comfortable.

Very good except I wish the base was a bit wider for more stability
I feel that these are about 90% of the way to perfect. Comfortable for all day wear, but just needs a slightly wider base for more stability on uneven terrain. If you like to walk uneven trails this isn't great for that, but works perfectly well for flat/normal terrain.

Adds significant comforting cushioning to your feet in addition to adding height
I suddenly started having pain in the area of my Plantar Fasciitis –like in the heel of my foot – when I worked on my feet all day. Seeking relief, I bought four different heel-cushioning products from Amazon: MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad Medium, Spenco Rx Heel Cushion, Sorbothane Heel Pad, and this product, Half Elevator Insole for Men - 1/2 inches (A pack of 2 Pairs). Out of the four products I bought, the Half Elevator Insole was the best. Not only does this product cushion your heel and make you a little taller, but also you get TWO pairs for a very reasonable price! In addition, this insert is virtually invisible in most shoes, is comfortable, and stays in place nicely. I bought two more pairs of these. Five stars! The Sorbothane Heel Pad stays in place nicely, and gives me a tiny bit more height, but doesn’t do anything to prevent my foot pain. If you have blue or purple shoe soles, this item blends in … otherwise it doesn’t. Three stars. The Spenco Rx Heel Cushion does shift around a little, but it did help my plantar foot pain. It adds a little height to you as well. Four stars. The MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad was the most disappointing insert I purchased. Initially, it feels great and you might think that these inserts will help. After working on my feet all day, my Plantar hurt like heck with these inserts. I think that these gel heel pads concentrate your weight-per-square-inch to the heel of your feet. In addition, they slide around too much, requiring repositioning. Two stars.

Comfortable and fit well.
I need a lift in 1 shoe due to leg differences. These fit perfect in my men's size 8.5 shoe and are very comfortable. The first day I could feel the front end of the insert under the ball of my foot (just a little) but by the second day I no longer could. They are much less noticeable than the lift my Dr. gave me and fit in my shoe better than others I've tried. For reference, in the photo there is a lift in the right shoe but not the left. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks now and it's been great. My only wish is that you could buy just the left or right as I only needed one side and just had to throw away the other side.

Very good, would buy wider if available even if I had to trim them.

The under structure started breaking down after a few months, but did not quite affect my wear, but I'm sure I'll need to change it out within 6 months.

Escribo la reseña para que no cometan el error que yo cometí. El producto es EXCELENTE para dar altura pero no esta hecho para amortiguar la pisada. Es muy rígido.
