Happy to add this to my sewing tools
I’ve been taking sewing classes and just learned buttons. I’m working on a dress now and my teacher recommended this tool. So happy I did, so sturdy and functional to properly space out the buttons. Easy to use and accurate!

Happy with purchase, would recommend.
Overall happy with this product. I'm using it in my shop to help mark evenly spaced fastener points. It is a little stiff but expect it will loosen up as used. It's a well built tool, wish the gauge of metal was a bit beefier but works fine. For the price it's a handy tool to have in the box.

Don't buy. Very flimsy and broke right away
Tried to use it as soon as I got it. It opened halfways nice but then it was so flimsy that when I tried to close it back up, it bent and then totally broke. Would not recommend. Not worth the money if you can't even use it once.

So awesome!
I'm not a professional seamstress by any means, but I bought this to use to add buttons to costumes for a school musical and it did exactly what I wanted it to do, easily and quickly. I hate measuring and always feel like I'm doing something wrong, so being able to take one measurement and then line up the buttons so perfectly was great - I was able to mark where the buttons went, hand a kid some buttons and thread, and know that they would get everything done right.

Even spacing every time.
Sewing help to space buttonholes and buttons equal distance. Once you’ve used one you’ll not want to go back to measuring with a tape measure. Simply decide the number of buttons, put one end of the slide at the top of the section of clothing and the end at the end of the section where you want the buttonholes/buttons, and mark each one with tailor chalk or other marker. Even spacing every time.

Ok
Quality matches the price. Flimsy and difficult to close. I feel like Im going to bend it trying to close it.

Quality still undecided
My husband saw it on a YouTube woodworking video. They said it was a sewing tool. I've been sewing for well I er 40yrs and would have loved this in my life WAY before NOW!!!! It wasn't as smooth as I thought it should be to open and close. I'll buy a different one for either my husband or me. One for the wood working area and one for my sewing/craft room. Then I'll buy whichever one is better quality for my adult daughter

Good for measuring wood as well as for sewing.
I’m glad to have a little tool for my woodworking projects and this is perfect for measuring. Think outside of the box to find what a measuring tool would do for your project and if it looks like a tool for your needs then grab one of these things for yourself and go to town on your projects. I love this tool for my project and many other projects to come. Not expensive and works great for measuring. Not just for quilting and sewing projects.
