Core Curriculum for Transplant Nurses Second Edition

The second edition of the Core Curriculum for Transplant Nurses is written by recognized experts in their respective organ transplant fields. By including chapters from the spectrum of solid organ transplants in one book, the reader can appreciate the common basic and clinical principles that guide diagnosis and therapy as well as specific solutions for individual transplants. As a heart transplant physician, I appreciated separate chapters on heart transplant as well as mechanical circulatory support. I also liked the Self –Assessment Questions (with answers given at the end) that highlight the key points from the preceding chapter. I would recommend as a learning tool for students and as a reference for practitioners.

Very very thorough and covered everything there is to know about transplants. Very easy to u sweat and and the sections were divided wel so you could go to any specific area you want

Only covers solid organ transplants but a wonderful resource for any transplant nurse.

I highly recommend this book for any transplant coordinator wishing to become certified (CCTC or CCTN). I passed the CCTC exam 6 years ago using the 2007 edition.

The book is completely bent and was delivered in a hard box so this did not happen in the mail.
