No - the glossify product is a temporary color.  It doesn't actually lift any color or lighten hair, but will cover grey a bit.  For me the color lasts about 3 weeks.

Will this darken my brassy, orange light brown hair? If so, how how much darker?

I personally wouldn't use this on any hair color that's lighter than a medium to dark brown. It does darken hair quite a bit if you apply it to dry hair. My hair is in between medium and dark brown and turns it quite dark (which is my preference). The effect is supposed to be a bit less if applied to wet hair, but I've not tried that method, so I can't speak to that. I would think it would still darken the hair a decent amount. Either way, the ash color does a good job neutralizing brassy tones. Though, if your hair is really orange, it may not work as well and, as I said, it will probably darken your hair regardless. To what degree will depend on the color you have now and what condition your hair is in. It's also only temporary and the results gradually wash out after a few weeks, but if used on lighter hair, the intensity of the color might fade quicker with washing. That's just a guess, I really have no idea. You might want to consult a cosmetologist.
