FossilQ Men's Gen 3 Explorist Stainless Steel and Leather Smartwatch, Color: Blue, Brown (Model: FTW4004)

I have owned over 10 Android Wear smartwatches, and this is by far the nicest looking in terms of it looking like an actual watch. The leather strap is comfortable and of good quality. This watch has all the things you would normally have an a smartwatch, except NFC and a heart rate monitor. The advantage of that is that it is a little slimmer than the watches that do have them. The display is absolutely gorgeous. Easily the nicest display I have ever had on a watch like this. As a fun little plus you get a rotating crown that is fun to play with and very smooth to operate. An interesting note, Fossil decided to have a black ring all the way around the display of the watch instead of a flat tire like on previous smartwatches it made. I thought this would bother me, but I already forget it's there. In terms of performance, this watch has yet to struggle with anything I throw at it. It is buttery smooth. The battery life is typical of most smartwatches, in that it will last about a day with average use. As someone who has owned so many of these, it is not a big deal. You put it on the charger at night, just like your phone. Speaking of the charger, this watch uses a wireless charging puck instead of connecting pins, which in my opinion is a no-brainer. It might take a little longer to charge than the pin ones (2 hours instead of about an hour), but the convenience and not having to worry about breaking pins is worth it for me. One more thing, the watch faces Fossil provides for this watch are gorgeous. The best I have ever had offered to me by the watch maker (every Android Wear watch comes with pre-loaded watch faces for the watch). Overall, I would recommend this watch to anyone that likes the look of this watch and is looking for one to wear as an every day watch.

I was looking for a smartwatch for a good minute. I have a samsung, so I was looking for a good price on a samsung watch. But they're all like $250+ and I wasn't trying to drop that much money right away like that. I also wanted one that I could wear casually or more dressed up. I came across this and was really pleased with how it looked. When I first wore this, I was going out to a club with some friends, and everyone was complimenting it. A lot of them use apple, so they had apple watches, but were actually jealous of how it looked. They wished the apple watch has a bit more style instead of the square, but it works the same. It does what it's supposed to do, and the customization for the faces look great. You can keep a clean classy look, or a really goofy cartoony look. It's really easy to pair and navigate. The battery will last 2 days if you aren't constantly trying to use it. I used it mostly for when I cant pull out my phone right away, or if I'm expecting something soon. I dont think I have any complaints for it to be honest.

Amazing screen. Solid and very good quality watch. I'm starting with 4 stars but I'll certainly give it a 5.March 8,Well, I am not giving it a 5 star. 3.5 would be more accurate.Cons:1) Poor battery life: I activate only 2 or 3 apps notifications, and that's when I don't want to carry my phone. My Bluetooth and WIFI are deactivated most of the time.I mostly use one face, but do have my "always on screen" activated (I believe displaying the time is a primary funtion)Still, I can't have my battery to last even 18h. It does get better after the first couple days of use but that's it.Hopefully, FOSSIL will improve the battery life for next gens, because It doesn't make sense to have these cool funtionalities and not be able to fully enjoy it.2) No HR monitor: It is mentioned on some reviews that I didn't read.🙁Maybe, I was looking at the Gen 4 photo with he heart on it. Apparantly GEN 4 doesn't not have a good battery life either.Conclusion: I am keeping my watch, I still love it. Fitness tracking capabilities was a "nice to have" for me, but Battery life could be a deal breaker depending on usage.I am planning to buy more wrist bands, and get a simple fitness tracker.I would recomand this watch if you are not:- so crazy about HR monitoring feature - going to abuse the notifications functionality - listen to music all the time - use faces that'll kill your battery etc...I personally can't replace my phone with a smartwatch. For instance, my fingers won't allow me to type on that small screen.It's good to know that some funtionalities are available on Explorist gen 3 and at your fingertips when needed.I hope this will help you make the right decision 👍

The watch is really good when it comes to it's features and the way it works with the phone. However, the battery life is very very bad... This is something really negative and enough to keep me from buying this watch again or recommend it to anyone...

I figured that all Android Wear smart watches were pretty much the same at this point, since they all pretty much have the same internals. I really only bought this because the home button on my Zenwatch broke and it wasn't going to get the Oreo update.Coming from Asus Zenwatch 3, which I actually still liked, this watch is much more responsive and, in my opinion, better crafted. I was surprised by the smoother animations and shorter loading times. The leather band on the Explorist is supple but sturdy and feels so much nicer than that of my previous smart watches (before the Zenwatch 3 I had a 1st Gen Moto 360).It got the Oreo update, so that's nice for anyone who is disappointed their current watch got left behind.Negatives: no nfc, heart rate sensor, lte and I'm pretty sure there's no speaker. But I think I made a phone call on my previous watch 2 times in the year I used it, so it doesn't bother me with my usage.It's still only a little over a week with this device, but I was impressed after the first boot by it's speed and the quality of the device itself.

Habe dieses Modell bestellt. Bekam 4 Tage später das Pakett, große Enttäuschung ... es war eine Damenuhr drin. Jetzt ist mein Mod nicht mehr auf Lager und die 270 euro hab ich auch bezahlt. Bin gespannt wie lange es dauert bis ich das richtige Modell bekomme. Schade.... hab mich schon total gefreud weil ich mir die Uhr zum Geburtstag kaufte...

Bought it as a birthday gift for my brother. He loved it . The battery doesn't last long enough though. On Power saver mode it lasts for 2days . otherwise u have to charge once a day like we charge the smartphones. But I am very happy with the look and performance of the smartwatch.
