Will this laser work on leather? To either laser burn an image or to cut out shapes?

Yes, this will work on leather. I can’t give guidance on what settings (either the power setting of number of repeats) since all leather is different… But in general, use a light color leather to get a big color contrast and darker to give a more subtle color change. When cutting, thin cuts faster and with fewer repetitions than thick leather. I tried with a really thin piece of furniture cover scrap and it was less successful at being cut than a slightly thicker piece (it curled at the cut) but that could be a one off. Just remember, this is a laser cutter and burning flesh (leather) stinks, use proper ventilation!

Is it compatible with omtech laser engraver mf1230 -50w? the plug of the laser is an aviation plug in 4 pin (round)
