Very high quality! Bought as a gift for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it! Just what we were looking for.

I had such a hard time when looking for the perfect knife for my husband. There's just so many to choose from and I didn't really know what what was good and what was just ehh. ugh!! I am so glad I found this one!!!!! My husband is a cook so he is super picky about knives. He was blown away by this one. It came very sharp and "apparently" it was the perfect angel. ??? I'm not a cook, I have no clue. lol But my hubby is impressed and happy so that tells me that this knife rocks!! Oh! It came with a little sanding thing that, I'm told, is to keep it rust free and sharp. It was packaged beautifully and delivered quickly. I've been informed that Excalibur (that's what he named it) is HIS and it is the one thing that he would rather not share with me. No prob! I don't cook anyway. lol But I was allowed to cut an onion and some potatoes and carrots, just to test it out. He cringed the whole time and never took his eyes off his new toy. The reason I mentioned this is because #1, its hysterical and now I am able to tell you that this knife is beefy! It is heavy duty but not uncomfortable for my small hands. Now I understand what "perfectly balanced" means. So.... I may not be a great chef but I do know quality when I see it. Great knife and I/we HIGHLY recommend! Don't forget to dry it thoroughly after EVERY washing and pop some food safe mineral oil on it till next time. (Walmart $2.99)

Love this knife. My wife doesn't like it because it isn't a 'care free' as she would like. She is not one to care for the cutlery in a way this knife needs. But I'm happy with the steel quality. This type of steel sharpens a lot easier than stainless steel knives. So if you are one to properly care for a knife after each use, you cannot go wrong with it. Just dry it off well and apply a little olive or cooking oil and it should prevent from rusting. It may get a spot of rust here and there, but cleans up when you sharpen it. It is very weighty and feels very sharp. Has a very large piece of steel on it. Very happy with it.

I absolutely love this cleaver! I was skeptical at first due to some reviews and questions regarding the lack of information on the type of steel that is used, but after using it for several months, I can honestly say that the type of steel is irrelevant. This clever came razor sharp out of the box and has great weight. So many cleavers on the market are lightweight and therefore can't complete chopping tasks. This thing is a beast! The most important thing to keep in mind is that is is a high-carbon steel (as said in the description) and therefore requires specific care (instructions are included) to be sure it functions for years to come. Once finished with my task, I wash the knife in hot water, dry with a lint-free cloth, and coat the blade in vegetable oil with the provided cloth before storing it in it's sheath. After nearly three months of ownership and countless chopping tasks, I have had no issues with rust. Yes, people complain that it's made in China, but who really cares? It gets the job done!

Arrived corroded. Rusty, I tried to clean and oil it. Every time I use it, it rusts up again. Very crappy item. I do not recommend this knife brand. It is sharp though.

Not the same btand or expected quality. It is good but you can get the same quality with 2 thirds of the price at most
