The Rorschach, Basic Foundations and Principles of Interpretation Volume 1 Volume 1 Edition

The book is a must have for complete understanding of this projective test. Which is in my opinion, a powerful projective test. It involves a bit of hard work but it is not beyond the grasp of the young or mature psychologists. Today a software is available that will help with mechanical tasks of the test, recommended! However, doing the test without software really pushed me to think about my patient's responses and their non-verbal lenguage during the application of the cards, the caculation of the different aspect of personality explored, and I found some excellent views of human personality along its pages. The book is a must have as it guides you through the analytical elements of the test. It is one of my basic tests in my practice. Even for the psychologist that is more CBT instead of a psychoanalyst, the insights from the test are greatly helpful. I used CBT too. PS. I am a lacanian analyst.

This book is an excellent tool to have while you are learning the Rorschach or to keep on your shelf if you are scoring. I learned the Rorschach already but I only had the Exner Workbook (another must have). I bought this book b/c I will be taking a comprehensive exam which includes Rorschach interpretation and scoring questions. It breaks down the structural summary very well and highlights what scores to concentrate on and what they mean. I have not begun practicing the scoring yet but I know from looking through the book there are numerous examples to use. If you are learning the Rorschach or are in a profession where you are administering it, this and the Exner Workbook are 2 books that you MUST MUST have.

I was completely lost in my Personality Assessment course until I bought this book! It is the only thing I used when writing my interpretation. It is easy to follow, yet extremely comprehensive! If you are studying the Rorchach you NEED to buy this book. It is a great investment!

This book is really helpful and well written. It is full of examples, isn't dry and long winded like some texts, and really helps you understand the Rorschach.

this book is for a class. I really like the information in it and it has been helpful to analyze the cases presented.

The first one I ordered came with water damage, the replacement came in with a torn spine and cover. The book itself, content wise is great. Unfortunately, the only way for me to get a quality book is through a bookstore. If you don't mind a little ding book or some pages with damage then buying this one is fine. I ordered it for my sister getting her doctorate in psychology and she wants to keep a good book. Good luck out there buyers!
