A Surprisingly Great Upgrade!
I didn’t expect to be so impressed by a toilet seat, but here we are. This Kohler model is well worth the upgrade. First off, installation was a breeze—literally took me less than 10 minutes, and I’m not especially handy. The ReadyLatch system clicks into place securely, and the included hardware felt sturdy. The seat itself feels solid and well-made. The quiet-close lid is a game-changer (no more slamming noises in the middle of the night), and the contoured shape is actually more comfortable than the standard flat seats we had before. The grip-tight bumpers keep everything stable—no shifting around, even after weeks of use.It looks sleek and clean in our bathroom, and the white finish matches our toilet perfectly. Honestly, this is one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. Highly recommend if you're looking for comfort, quality, and no-hassle installation.

For the price Kohler knocked it out of the park
Kohler seat has worked great so far. The construction is very well made. Screws are metal and have a rubber insert that makes it very tight to the toilet. The seat itself is comfortable. I ordered this and the equal price American standard. The Kohler is much nicer. The American standard isn't bad, made thinner seat cover and plastic screws with no rubber insert. Compared to this Kohler it should be 18 dollars.standard is thinner and has plastic screws. You could sit on the koeler

Love this item and going to purchase more. SO EASY
Came with a missing piece. But the seller was so great and sent me the missing piece immediately. And was literally the most easiest thing to install. I’m 35 year-old female, who knows nothing about handy stuff. The hardest part was taking my old toilet seat off. But putting this seat on was so easy. I am going to purchase more of these for all of my bathrooms. I love the slow close of this seat. All my old toilet seats were old so they were very loud when they closed, this one is so great. Was going to give it four stars because of the missing piece, but the seller was so awesome that it’s definitely a five star item.

Mixed Feelings!
The seat and slow close mechanism work great. However, unlatching this seat for cleaning is not as easy as described. After unlocking the hinges behind the seat, you literally have to yank it off with tremendous force. Snapping it back on is equally as difficult. While struggling to snap each hinge back on one at a time, I managed to crack the cover that closes over one of the hinges.I bought my daughter one of these seats as well, to see if hers worked any better. Unfortunately, it was the same struggle.I wish there was a better design for removing the seat for cleaning, because the way this works, I’d be better off not removing it to clean. I find this so disappointing, especially because it’s made to look like it’s a breeze taking it off and putting it back on.

Fits very old Persuade toilet with catch
I have one of the original model Persuade toilets - model K-6355-0. I wrote Kohler and asked which toilet seat to purchase for the toilet. They said purchase model K-30780-0 which costs $88. I then searched Amazon and found the Persuade toilet and found that people were instead purchasing toilet seat model 4636-RL-0 which costs $37. I purchased the latter. It fits just fine and I'm happy with it. There's one catch. If your toilet has the old brass fastener receivers embedded in the porcelain that the seat screws into, you MAY need to remove them in order to use the new fasteners that the new seat comes with. The new fasteners are completely different which means the new seat fastener bolts won't screw into the old brass receivers (bolts are of a different diameter). HOWEVER, it may be possible to use the new seat with the old bolts and old receivers...I didn't verify if this is possible because one of my brass receivers was spinning free... That's not a good situation as it meant I was forced to install new fasteners. If you have to remove the old brass fasteners, you will have to uninstall the bottom of the toilet from the floor and flip it over. What I did was grasp the bottom of the fastener with pliers and wiggled the metal (it's very pliable) until it broke. Then, squeeze the remaining metal into a bundle so that it could be pushed through to the top side and be removed. It's more work than I wanted to do but I was forced to do it. The good news is that as a result, the customer can now use the lower cost new model Kohler toilet seats if there's breaks in the future again. The fasteners that the new ones come with are flexible silicone (clever...never seen that) and hence are easy to remove from the top if ever necessary which means no need to remove the bottom portion of the toilet in the future. If you decide to try this seat with your Persuade toilet, you'll need to see if the old brass bolt is smaller than the hole in the toilet seat and of the correct length (sorry I didn't check this). If it's not, then this seat won't work for you unless you flip the toilet over and do all that ⬆️. If you don't want to take the risk, find the model seat that comes with the old brass fasteners. If you're toilet has the newer silicon fasteners, this is all moot.
