Ever since I’ve had my first BoomBottle I’ve been a fan. It worked for years without issues. This one arrived defective. The battery indicator shows a full charge but the buttons don’t work. They do nothing. Where is their quality control?? It’s going back for a replacement. I will update my review if the second one works like it’s supposed to. **UPDATE** The replacement unit works fine and sounds great. I must have received a dud the first time. The Bluetooth connection paired easily with my iPhone 15 Pro. Amazon quickly approved a return of the defective unit and send sent me a replacement right away. Scosche customer service also assured me that if the return process with Amazon went awry they would send me a replacement at no charge, so that was a nice offer on their part. All in all I'm happy with my purchase, once the rough start was cleared up.

I purchased a Boombottle several years ago. I take this thing every where, the beach, bike rides, camping pool side, the park and in the garage. I use it mostly in the garage, where I also have an Echo Dot, but choose to use the BoomBootle, due to its sound, not having to be plugged in and its magnets. The magnets makes it possible to stick it anywhere, but mostly I stick on the open garage door, outside down, so the music may be heard inside and outside. Once or twice, I had forgotten the BoomBottle was left on the garage door, shut the garage, only to find it still stuck to the garage door the next day. The magnet is impressively strong. My BoomBootle is about 5 years old and still holds a charge well. I am able to play music for hours without plugging it in. This thing is great.

The sound has full range, so it's nice. I thought it wasn't working so I turned it off. That's when I noticed the difference. It noticeably added a more full bodied pleasant experience for the person looking at the cell phone, or if someone is pretty close - definitely better than the best imbedded cell phone speakers, but not blaringly loud. If I want to sit on the couch to catch up on some visual alerts / videos and not fire up the laptop, pc or big screen, I just pop on this little speaker. I use it as a kick stand to put the phone on an angle. The availability it creates to multi-task is just too cool and very helpful when you need to free your hands and still physically respond to things touching the phone. But be gentle as the speaker's magnet disengaged a couple of times - the magnet could have been a little stronger. It's good enough to support it's weight if you stick it on something, but as a kickstand it just can't handle the constant interruptions touching the phone, thus, supporting the weight of the phone and such continuous subtle movement. So, I make sure I touch the screen instead of jabbing, and it's fine. It's worth the effort. All in all it's been a help, and enjoyable. If I want a big speaker, I'll use that. But this does what it's supposed to do, and better than I expected.

Love this little thing. Strongly stick to the back of my laptop and the sound quite good too. I bought it because my laptop speaker sometimes works and sometimes not. So I replace with this and connect via Bluetooth and it works great

Speaker sounds great (relative to its size), but the power save feature is driving me crazy. It goes to sleep even when connected to power AND has an active connection to a device if no audio is being played. In my case, this is my laptop for work. The speaker works great during a Teams meeting, but drops before my next meeting 30 minutes later. It does let you know that it shut down by playing some ridiculous power down sound (equally ridiculous sound is played when powering up too).

Love this. It's a great product. If you want to just jam by the campfire and have a speaker attached to the back of your phone. This is it plus you can remove it from your phone and move it around. It fits in cup holders and cars and it's got a magnet. You can stick it to the fridge, the grill If it rains, it doesn't matter because it's waterproof I've had it about 3 months, and it's been flawless, I don't know how long it'll last over 5 years. But by then, I might have a different one or a better 1. They're home

Ésta es sin duda mi bocina favorita tanto por la calidad del audio cómo por la resistencia ya que es una bocina para uso rudo y ese es exactamente el uso que le he dado, su base magnética la hace aun más interesante pues la puedes colocar en mucho lugares y no simplemente en el piso. La duración de la batería es buena aunque tarda bastante tiempo en recargarse la batería nuevamente pero es un problema menor respecto a todos los demás aspectos positivos del producto.

Used it for more than two years, lost it. Now buying another. Good product. I hate crap products and this isn't one of them.

Vorab, die Box ist heute erst angekommen, aber die Mängel lassen sich trotzdem bereits jetzt beschreiben. Aber erstmal die positiven Punkte: der Lautsprecher ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Viel mehr kann ich zu den Vorteilen aktuell noch nicht sagen. Nächste Woche wird sie auf einen Paddelurlaub mitgenommen, da wird nicht zeigen, wie haltbar sie ist. Die Magnetfunktion habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Nun die negativen Aspekte: Der erste Punkt ist zwar nicht dramatisch, ist heutzutage aber eigentlich der Standard: die Box kam mit leerem Akku an. Das ist zwar nichts Wildes, aber mittlerweile ist es eigentlich selbstverständlich, dass akkubetriebene Geräte zumindest ein Stück weit vorgeladen beim Käufer ankommen. Der zweite Punkt ist auch nicht wirklich essenziell, stört mich aber dennoch: der Lautsprecher gibt beim Ein- und Ausschalten sowie zur Bestätigung des Pairings ein ziemlich nerviges Synthesizer Geräusch von sich. Keine Ahnung, ob man das vielleicht irgendwie ausschalten kann. Punkt Nummer 3: Der Flaschenöffner. Für mich nicht besonders wichtig, da ich eh nicht vor hatte, den zu benutzen, aber ich glaube nicht, dass der funktionsgemäß gebraucht werden kann, wenn der mitgelieferte Karabiner am Lautsprecher befestigt wird. Irgendwie nicht besonders gut durchdacht. Kommen wir zum Klang. Mir ist bewusst, dass diese Box nicht darauf ausgelegt sein soll, den besten Sound zu haben, jedoch bin ich bis jetzt nicht wirklich überzeugt. Der Vergleich mit der Bose Soundlink Mini 2 ist vielleicht nicht ganz fair, ich habe aber auch noch den Teufel Rockster Go, der preislich etwa genau so viel kostet und auch wasserdicht ist. Der Teufel schneidet wie erwartet um Längen besser ab. Die Scosche Boombottle hat einen ziemlich schlappen Bass. Habe ich ehrlich gesagt nicht anders vermutet, sie ist auch leichter als die Konkurrenz, was für die Outdoornutzung unterwegs ja nicht schlecht ist. Aber auch die Mitten und Höhen überzeugen mich nicht, wenn man die Box mal lauter aufdreht, klingt das. Ding ziemlich blechernd. Nun ja, ich habe mir die Box nicht aufgrund des großartigen Klangs gekauft. Jetzt kommt aber das größte Manko: der Ladeanschluss. Der eigentliche Grund, warum ich mir die Box gekauft habe, war der USB-C Ladeport, da alle meine Geräte diesen Anschluss haben und ich keine Lust hatte, ständig viele verschiedene Kabel mitschleppen zu müssen. Die Box kann aber nur mit einem USB-C auf USB-A Kabel geladen werden, was ich absolut nicht verstehe, das sinnentleert und zweckentfremdet die Buchse ja völlig. Da hätte man sich den USB-C Port an der Box auch sparen können. Fazit: An sich keine schlechte Idee, aber noch sehr viel Potenzial nach oben. Einige Dinge an dem Gerät hätte man deutlich kluger gestalten können. Ich denke ich werde die Box erst einmal behalten, würde sie mir aber definitiv nicht noch einmal kaufen.
