Bosch 12V Max LED Worklight Bare Tool GLI12V-300N

I use the Bosch 12V system. Good power for driving screws, drilling with my hex driver. The driver is also small and light so is easy to use in cramped dark areas. Which is why this work light is a great tool! This VERY bright work light creates daylight intensity in work areas. It can be 3 to 10 feet away from your work and you’ll see very well in those cramped dark places. This work light does not come with a battery, but most of us have a pair of batteries, so one in the torch, one in your drill and you’re good. I was so delighted with the brightness and compact form that I bought 2 more for my daughters who have Bosch drivers, and sent them some old batteries that had lost capacity. This work light uses so little current that an old battery will still give hours of light. I really like this light. You will, too.

Have only had it a couple weeks, so can’t speak to longevity. But so far, it’s a great work light. Bright, no cord, lightweight, solid-feeling, compact. Fits basically every place you’d need it. The hook seems pretty sturdy. Also gives another use for the batteries that came with the drill driver I bought. Sits upright on the battery base, and is stable that way. (Obviously can sit on its side too.) The lack of dimming doesn’t bother me a bit. Only suggestion I’d have for the Bosch people is to surface it in a way that makes it less likely to slip out of wet or slightly oily hands. But that’s a nitpick. (A couple pieces of friction tape or a light sanding fixes this if that’s a real problem for you.) Maybe a tad pricey for what it is, but if it lasts I’m fine with it.

Excellent product very lightweight very bright

I had a traditional work light that I used for many years. A swivel hook on the top, sort of what everybody thinks of when they think of a shop work/inspection light. The non-replaceable battery in it finally died, so I replaced it with this. This thing is much, much smaller than the old light it replaces, and it uses replaceable batteries. Less room in the tool box is good. Build quality looks ok. I like that the hook is metal, and that it will stay on a flat surface without rolling around. Light output is fine for something like this. Downsides are the hook is fixed rather than swiveling on top, and that it is not magnetic. It also compresses about the same amount of lighting power into a set of LEDs half the size of my old light. So it is bright and has a bit of glare if you look right at it, instead of the old one, which had way more LEDs but each one wasn't as glaringly bright, which made it a bit easier to position and work with. Overall, it is fine, if you don't need a work light every day and already have the Bosch batteries it takes. But I think my traditional, larger work light was better in some ways. It is fine, not spectacular.

Compact and bright. I have a bunch of cordless flashlights and small lights but this one gets a lot of use because it's so handy and works well.

I can't comment on battery life, I bought a generic battery for this light. I wanted a larger base than what the OE Bosch standard capacity battery provides. (11 years experience with a 1/4" impact driver influenced that decision; actually got 2 of them in 2008. Some kind of promo, purchase a 2nd battery and get a certificate for a 2nd driver directly from Bosch.) And a year ago I got a Factory Refurbished 12 volt drill with interchangeable heads, which I just plain love using! Overall I prefer this size tool, it has all the power I need, and if I need a 1/2" drill motor I just grab a corded drill. I ain't proud and have so many corded drills that work just fine. (Not Bosch, but the blue M brand since they entered the US market back in the early 1980's.) As bright as I anticipated. And seems as durable as I have come to expect from Bosch 12 volt (10.8 volt actually, the 12 is a marketing - but hey, gotta 'save face's in the 'size contest) cordless tool.

I didnt think I really needed this, but bought it anyway. I have already used it several times and it is very bright and has a nice little hook to fit on a belt loop. Great little tool when you need some light. Works great.

I bought this light as I already have a Bosch tool that uses the same 12v batteries so by adding the light without the expense of the batteries, it was a great addition to the tool bag. It has LED's that punch out a lot of light, the length of use depends on the amperage of the battery, mine are 1.3a and I get more than 2 hours of use so as a handy compact light source, I was, and still am, very happy. No cord, no alkaline batteries to buy!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT; Well designed and fit for purpose.

Quality build and plenty bright for working on vehicles,roof spaces or under houses. Purchased for less than half what hardware stores are charging so I'm more than happy

Does the job

I have both 12 V Bosch lights, and the big 18V Flood for outside. This is the lightest but still tough for the tool box. Only 1 light level but on off is all I want. Very satisfied, its everything I expected, very long runtime, had it on most of the day.
