Surface Bluetooth Mouse - Grey

I bought this alongside the Microsoft Surface Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader and they are both fantastic to use. The mouse is really well built and comfortable to use and there are many options to configure the three side buttons. The scroll wheel button is also an interesting one which I'd played with, you can have it enabled so that scrolling gives you positive feedback and stepped scrolling which is what I've been used to for most of my time at a computer screen. When disabled the scroll wheel just glides like its on silk and makes web page scrolling really slick, however I find it's too sensitive for me and prefer the stepped feedback. There are other features of this mouse which I've yet to use, like the multiple computer link up which allows you to move from one computer to the next once you've configured it. Overall this is another great Surface product from Microsoft and would not hesitate to buy another

I bought this to replace the Arc Touch Mouse, which I found to be aesthetically great but lacking in functionality. This Surface Mouse fits the bill much better. It's surprisingly big, a full-size mouse, and the plastic construction has a pleasant grain to it. It's also quite heavy, which I enjoy. The click is rich and satisfying, and the tracking and bluetooth functionality seems to be working very well so far. The scroll wheel is a little firmer than I'm used to, but after just a little time adjusting I'm really enjoying it. The colour and general design identity is very close to that of grey Surface line products, and the grain on the plastic is identical. So visually I'm very much enjoying it as a matched pair with my grey Surface Laptop. Several reviewers here have commented that the functionality isn't reliable or breaks down - so far so good for me but will report back if I start experiencing issues!

I bought this to go with my Surface Pro. It's nicely designed; I particularly like the magnetic battery cover. The Bluetooth button doubling up as a power switch was not immediately obvious though. The feel of the device is a little cheaper than I expected. It also drags a little more than I would like in most surfaces. Overall, pretty good, but room for improvement.

Bluetooth - unfortunately so often an unreliable medium. Hence the 3*. Another reason the crazy power source of multiple button-batteries. Why not a simple AA or AAA battery? I found the device to be unreliable and expensive. I now use a wireless mouse & keyboard combo connected via a tiny wireless USB-A dongle. They are brilliant!

It's an original MS mouse. Contains one Duracell battery, which was about 90% three months ago after arriving, and is still going strong. It isn't super quiet but doesn't bother anyone around me, and the click is comfortable, same with the scroll. It works even on transparent glass. Doesn't have any connection issues. A good value for money, especially with how expensive these can get.

Elegantly styled with no reduction in comfort as a result this mouse is a real quality item. The accuracy is exceptional for both movement and via the scroll wheel. The only criticism I'd have is that the scroll wheel only does up and down, my old mouse did horizontal scrolling and I do miss that a bit on larger documents. The battery compartment is very neat - I'll not spoil the surprise before you get one!

This is a great mouse with very useful functionality, very comfortable, excellent smooth to use scroll wheel. Switching between 3 PCs is very useful. Moving across up to 3 machines automatically as you work is excellent. Desktop App has lots of options so you can configure this device to suit you easily. So why only one star - terrible quality finish to the top and sides of the mouse, these surfaces stain badly and go an unsightly yellow with just a few weeks of use. Microsoft need to fix this urgently. The black version of the mouse might be better from this perspective as staining is likely to be less visible but it seems to be very difficult to find. Get it sorted Microsoft! Update Replacement has now been in use for some months. Pleasing to note that the replacement unit has not displayed any staining from use. Further Update 17/04/24 Replacement unit has been in use for 15 months. Yellow staining now very apparent. The soft plastic material around the sides of the mouse is breaking up and will probably fail completely soon. I think it is fair to say Microsoft have got the material design for this mouse completely wrong. I will not be buying this product again. Further Update 08/08/24 Thumb Grip material has continued to deteriorate.

I am using with a surface book 3, pure Bluetooth and no usb dongle. Downloaded the MS mouse and keyboard center so I could up the dpi from 1600 (default) to 3200 for more precision in photoshop etc. This made the cursor speed a bit to much, but just open mouse settings and lower the cursor speed. Now very precise! App has good customisation options and also app specific settings. It’s a very similar feel to the high end Logitech mouse which I used previously.

Precision mouse, fantastico è costruito bene, lo uso da 2 mesi e non si è ancora scaricato, utilizzabile su 3 monitor in contemporanea, linea elegante e ottimo per l’ergonomia ...comodo e non stanca, la rotella è silenziosa, vari tasti personalizzabili, connessione al mio surface book 2 velocissima dopo l’accensione, ricarica con cavo incluso. consigliato!!!

It is lightweight and doesn't make noise. I love it

Se me rompió la ruedita mientras hacía scroll sin mucho sentido aparente, es imposible abrirlo para ver si es porque se haya movido o para intentar arreglarlo. Una pena que sea tan frágil por el precio que tiene.

Es un ratón muy cómodo de usar. Conexión muy fácil

I bought this one as a spare as I already have the black version. Mouse is perfect for standard office usage; battery lasts exceptionally long, and it is great plus that you can charge it and use it t the same time if you connect it via USB cable to computer. I also use it to casually play Diablo game series, and it works as expected. Personally, I would love to see micro-USB charging port upgraded to USB C, since all my other devices use USB C port to charge.
