Worked first time on 2015 Mac
This little adaptor worked first time and instantly gave me 3 screens! I have a 2015 MacBook Pro laptop with two screens plugged into it. I have one screen plugged directly into the HDMI slot, and the other via this Thunderbolt convertor, worked a treat. After trying various HDMI splitters, this was the only one that was compatible with my Mac, and was also the cheapest solution! I can now have different things on 3 different monitors, not mirroring but extended! So hopefully I'll be more productive. Item also looks well made and doesn't take up a lot of space. Very happy.

Doe the job at a decent price
I make a large number of purchases through Amazon and I write a lot of Amazon reviews.Too many reviews Amazon, (even under the policy introduced in November 16) sound like advertising pamphlets.I write honest reviews which include the good the bad and the ugly.My reviews are based on my personal opinions gleaned as a result of decades of experiences in a professional occupation, as a consumer, a property owner and raising a family.This Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter is sold through Amazon at a cost of £6.99 ( June 2017) marked as a prime item.Prime items are sold with a promise of next day delivery to Amazon Prime Members.You cannot rely on the next day delivery promise.There is no indication as to any potential additional postage charges that may be applied to delivery for non Amazon Prime Members.The Adapter is supplied in a simple cardboard box which was easy to open. There are a couple of cards in the box with information aboutguarantee and customer satisfaction of product information.Both connection ends are yellow coloured. I can see nothing to confirm that the yellow is a gold connection which are generally quoted as thebest types of electrical connections.The overall length of the connector cable is ten (10) inches. I would prefer the cable to be a little longer.The cable, although quite thin is quite stiff.There is a small plastic cover for the male port attachment and a small plastic insert for the HDMI attachment. These covers, if used shouldhelp prevent dust or similar interfering with the cable connectors. Although I keep my connectors in a series of purpose made cable connector storage bags.The connector to the display port is rigid for that first inch. It is a good solid connection in my MacBook Pro.The HDMI connector is approximately 1.5 inches and is a good match to a variety of both branded and non-branded HDMI cables.Transfer of PC to TV images and sound is simple, (helped by knowing what buttons to press when required, as shown on Youtube)This connector provided as it should alongside my use of a branded 5 metre HDMI cableOverall, This cable at £6.99, is at the top end of what can be expected to be charged on an internet basis. The cost still, however representsgood value when compared to typical mainstream high street shop costs.This is a very handy accessory for transferring to a, generally, much larger screen.You have to make sure that you have a decent quality HDMI cable.

Mini adapter, big results
Fantastic product.I will admit I was worried that the cable was reinforced with nylon, however the quality is first class and is holding up perfectly.The ends are metallic, and have resisted scratching. They look sleek and have a smooth finish. Gold plated connectors mean there is minimal chance of this adapter failing. Good, snug fit with my devices. The cable itself is flexible, but it holds its shape in the most part if you need it to. The adapter is about 25cm in length. Long enough for most use and you could always purchase a HDMI extender if need be. The picture quality is as expected. Full 1080p supported. Works like a dream with my Mac, no latency and no setup required, just plug in and go.The lifetime warranty leaves you in safe hands, however I feel I will not be needing it because the quality is really that good!Would 100% recommend this product. High quality again from iVanky, no complaints

Good quality cable
I bought this to connect my iMac to my television to play DVDs. The television has HDMI input and I have a HDMI cable, but the mac doesn't have a HDMI output, so I needed this thunderbolt-HDMI convertor.It does the job well, it carries both the picture and the sound and the quality is good. It was very easy to use, as soon as I plugged it in my mac automatically started mirroring the screen on the tv. The one downside of the set-up is that there isn't a way to turn the image off on the mac screen, so either you can have the same image on both, or a different image (i.e. it treats it as a second screen side-by-side), but either way the mac screen has to be on whilst watching stuff on the tv. My workaround is just to cover it up with a piece of cardboard because otherwise I find it distracting.Overall I'm happy with the cable, it does exactly what I need.
