Book Holder - Reading Aid - Purple

This is a brilliant product. No-one had thought of it, but now it really is the must have present. Everyone who sees mine in use, immediately wants to buy one. It is brilliant for large art books, which it copes with well and small paperbacks too, as it keeps them open and looks much nicer than two pegs - which is how I kept my paperbacks open before I found this wonderful invention. Great for reading in bed, even works at a slant - so you can lie in bed and still read. If you own books and love them - this should really be in your possession. Great, great product - if it was in a tin - it would do everything it said on the tin!!!!!

As someone who experiences pain and fatigue in my arms and hands, The Book Seat has made a tremendous difference in being able to read books that I was finding too heavy to hold.It takes a little giggling around at first to find an optimal position though. This will also vary depending upon the size and weight of book and whether you're reading in bed, at a table or on your lap etc. This is the only reason for 4 stars.Apart from its usefulness, I really like the purple colour and soft feel.I do wonder whether the elastic will lose its elasticity at some stage, but it seems okay so far.

Arrived today - that was fast! Admitedly only used for my tablet, but absolutely love it. Really like the bean-bag filling, means can shift it around to suit your viewing angle. Great for having on your knee - still tilt your neck downwards but if that was a problem you could add a cushion under the book seat to bring the height up. Now I can see the product I am glad 2 previous reviews didn't put me off buying ... 1) Cleaning: recommends soft brush/cloth + soap. As it's got a zip & beans I may go ahead & give a proper wash if the sponging down itsn't sufficient. 2) Although light weight it isgreat for my tablet. If it reduces in volume over time (as bean bags do) I'll just top it up. I bought the purple - lovely muted shade (perfect for me) so not quite as vivid as the photo. Am delighted with the product ... highly recommend. Thank you.

It’s an OK cushion for reading from a book but really works best with a hardback book. With a paperback it’s not hands free, you still need to hold the pages down - the perspex and elastic clip is a neat idea but actually doesn’t work that well. So for what it is, and considering that it doesn’t work as well as is claimed, in my view it’s overpriced and only worth 3 stars.

Superb book seat, I use it with my iPad kindle and normal books and I find it very easy and comfortable to use. It was recommended by occupational therapy due to arthritis and it really helps to take the pressure off my hands holding heavy objects and makes reading and surfing the internet much more comfortable and enjoyable.It even has a handy pocket to keep accessories in, so I store my charging leads in there. Expensive but worth the money!

Too difficult to use for book reading, the book does not stand, and shifting pages are not easy rather anoying and irritating. It is okay for ipad use. But then there are items for ipads that are much more competitive, smart design. Book seat is clumsy to look at and to use.

Ordered for my reading whilst in hospital, all the pictures suggest most books will be okay with this holder. Even fairly large ones??! I was trying to use it for a standard hardback autobiography book, general size and it kept falling over. Luckily Amazon have a very god return policy and although I was stuck in bed for ages, I still had time to return for a refund. Thanks Amazon but the product was useless

Bought for my son who likes to read in bed, it's ideal for anyone who has difficulty holding a book for any amount of time. It has a little shelf that keeps the book open at the correct page, but still makes it easy to turn the pages over when necessary. Also useful for iPads, or any other phone or tablet computer, cookery book etc. Has made a real difference to his life!
