Really Nicely Done Set!!
So I stepped in the Quicksand of 'rounding out my woodworking tool basics' :)))) like SOO many fools before me and I got to the 'having stuff to maintain and sharpen the blade stuff'. Nothing inherently wrong with that and as I was looking on Amazon as how best and most economically to get that all covered I came across this Set. It popped up $5 :/as I was considering it, but metal tool prices do seem to be rising and it still seemed the way for me to go. If you are squared away with the sharpening elements this probably isn't for you. But if your at the point of needing to expand your capabilities this is a great consideration. The Case is Really well thought out and folds very thinly. I guess the question is whether in your shop you would keep the tools in this case. If you are doing remote work I'd say it's Fabulous. Now for me, if I assign a GOOD price to all the Kit's elements it comes out to the new $55. And that figures a very reasonable $3 apiece for the Chisels. But no matter how nice this set is, it's Totally about the chisels. I haven't got to use them yet, but they seem fine. Good edges and sharp. I like the big handles. I think having the strike cap connected to the full length Tang is good, seems like it would give a more solid and controlled strike. They are CR-V and seem very good, but as of now I can't speak to it one way or the other. I was so impressed with this Kit that I wanted to get a review on it out as it didn't have comments when I took a chance on it. Cool, so far!

This was a great early Father's Day Gift
I knew what I wanted for my woodworker husband for Father's Day but I have no clue about tools. Something came up so I gave it to him early. I was surprised at how much he likes it. Score one for me and I bought it before he could decide if it's what he wants. Really, he is so pleased!It comes in the case with fine grit paper (I missed that in the description online)... But this !
