I think as long as you keep your sewing foot loose, should be fine. Mine was for curtains, but not voile!

Is this product genuine? Labelled as Col. 10 above the barcode but normal 1000m spools are labelled under the barcode and black is Col. 000.

What's the diameter/thickness of this thread?

Hi there, I don't really have any method of measuring the diameter of the Gutermann thread. However, if it's helpful I will say that my wife has been a dressmaker and sewing crafts hobbyist for many many years. She always prefers to use Gutermann threads as she says that the thread is very fine, very strong and whether it's for using in any of her two sewing machines or even hand sewing she finds it the most reliable thread she has ever used. It does not snag or 'knot' and it's always been a highly reliable brand. I hope that helps a little. This particular 1000mtr roll was amazing value for money too. She has literally dozens of Gutermann threads in all colours.

Hi is this 1 ply, i want a solid thread for beading. Others made of multiple ply tend to separate thanks in advance x
