USB charging is definitely the way to go, and these are a good buy
I purchased 2 packs of three light strings. The lights in one string kept cutting out intermittently. As it was an Amazon item, it was simple to return the whole pack at no cost, then order a replacement pack, so no problem. The lights are very pretty, easy to use, and have attracted a lot of compliments. Any clean and clear(ish) wine bottle will do; I just just fed the lights in carefully, and let the “cap” rest loosely inside the top of the neck - see photos. To switch them on, I lifted the “cap” a little way out of the bottle, gently twisted the narrow end to turn the lights on, then placed the cap back into the top of the bottle. To recharge, I turned the lights “off” (it made it a bit quicker), then I eased the piece of cork away from the rest of the cap, and plugged the exposed USB plug into a standard USB port for 10-15 minutes until the red light went out. I found it was easier to leave most of the lights inside the bottle, so I just pulled out enough of the string so I could stand the bottle next to the USB port, then I fed it back in afterwards. After several uses, I’ve found that that the lights are bright and usable (but they don’t get hot) for several hours, after which they will still be lit up, but gradually getting fainter, until they fade away altogether. They are all good and bright for at least 6 hours, which is fine for an average evening’s light, but some seem to keep going for longer; as long as 8 hours at full strength. So far, I’ve used them as a nightlight in a child’s bedroom (no naked flames), as mood lights instead of candles, and as table decorations. Unlike candles, I don’t have to worry about leaving them unattended, because all they do is go out - eventually. So yes, I would definitely recommend them, what’s not to like? If you like these “lights-in-a-bottle” gimmicks (and I do), this is a lot better than messing about with batteries - USB is definitely the way to go. Also, being practical, this listing is currently “fulfilled by Amazon”, so there is no problem returning/replacing the lights if they are faulty, which is worth bearing in mind - I looked at a lot of listings, and a lot of reviews before ordering these, it appears to be a bit of a gamble as to whether some of the the others will work properly, or for very long. UPDATE (MAY 1018): I should be on commission for Amazon, because another 2 friends, and 2 family members have seen these lights, and asked me to buy some for them. Thankfully, they are all delighted with them. FURTHER UPDATE (NOV 2019): Another useful function - my friend used one of hers to safely light up her granddaughter’s Halloween pumpkin 🎃 - no risks whatsoever. She scrunched up the lights, stuffed them into the carved masterpiece 🎃 - and they looked great. Afterwards, a quick cleanup with a kitchen wipe, and they were good to put back in her bottle.

Great product
Looks great in small bottles such as wine bottles. Very quick to charge.

Nice lights for empty bottles
I really like these lights. I originally was looking at the battery operated ones as you can get 10 for £10 but then saw these rechargeable ones 3 for £12.99. If these lights last for a reasonable time, the cost should be far less recharging them than buying batteries or possibly just ordering another set. I purchased 1 set and everything was good, they recharge quickly but I have yet to find out how long they last as I have not used them for an extended period. I have so far used them in Crystal Head vodka bottles, the neck is wider on these so have superglued the cork part to the underside of the stopper so that the plastic part doesn't fall into the bottle. The only reason I have put 4 stars is that on the 2 recent packs of 3 that I have received 1 in each is the same colour as the original set (warm white) but the other 2 (4 total) are are yellow/green tinge white. They still look nice but my OCD of having everything matched is not satisfied.

Rechargeable bottle lights
I am thrilled to share with you my experience with rechargeable bottle lights. These remarkable lights have proven to be a game-changer. Not only do they charge quickly, but they also last up to eight hours. One of the most notable features is their versatility, allowing you to create a unique and beautiful contrast by mixing and matching different bottles. I highly recommend these rechargeable bottle lights to anyone who is looking to add a touch of warmth and coziness to their space. Though the upfront cost may be higher than battery-powered alternatives, the benefits of these rechargeable units significantly outweigh the cost difference. They last longer, and you won't have to replace the batteries frequently. My experience with these lights has been nothing short of exceptional. The cork cover is more aesthetically pleasing than plastic alternatives, and the charging process is quick and straightforward. The brightness of the light is equivalent to that of replaceable battery lights. I was delighted with the prompt delivery of the lights, and I would certainly purchase them again. In conclusion, if you are looking for a reliable, durable, and environmentally friendly lighting solution, rechargeable bottle lights are an excellent choice.

Great product
These are great so much better than having to change the batteries all the time. Seem a bit expensive but with the money you save from getting new batteries they are worth it. Very Bright and nice warm, they look great.

Great decorative addition (but they didn’t last long)
They are excellent. Simply plug into a charging port and 20 mins later they are charged. It helps if you have a multi charger so you can charge them all at the same time. The battery life is sort of ok. If you turn them on in the evening, they last a few days before they run out. As they are small LED's, I was hoping the battery would last about a week. Mine seem to last around 8 hours. But can't really complain at this price. EDIT: they didn’t last very long unfortunately. After a few months one had packed up and then another one and then the final one stopped working. Not sure why. They just wouldn’t charge. Nice while they lasted.

Excellent bright lights
Really pleased with these. They charge up fairly quickly and a charge lasts about eight hours. I found one squat clear bottle, one tall slim frosted bottle and a green glass bottle to use and I thought the contrast looked really good. The wires are a slight faff to poke down into the bottles but I found the end of a wooden spoon did the trick really well and when it came to charging, I could just park the bottles beneath the charge point every night and lift the cork a bit so it wasn't necessary to pull it all out every time. Would definitely recommend - I've found the batteries in those decorations that take them usually have to be replaced every day or two, so it works out really expensive over the Christmas period. I think these rechargeable units are well worth the extra cost up front. Arrived very quickly and would buy again if I needed them.

Much better than those on the High Street
I bought a set similar to this on the High Street and was very disappointed at how short a time they lasted and how short they were so looked dim and very poor in a bottle. Searching on amazon I found these and thought they were worth a try. So pleased I did they are great. I got 3 for the same price as 1 on the High Street and they are twice the length. They also last considerably longer. Tonight I fully charged both sets and the High Street ones were flat in less than 2 hours while these are still going strong - even with twice the lights to power. Very happy - they look good and I'm not plugging them in to charge twice a night. I only gave them 4 stars because there might still be better ones out there and I only have the pricey and poor High Street ones for comparison. Don't let that put you off though - these are good lights.
