A remake of the 1947 'feel good' classic, telling the heart-warming story of a young girl's desire for a fully-functional family, complete with a father and a baby brother. The girl, Susan, confides in Kris Kringle (Sir Richard Attenborough), the kindly old man who is acting as the grotto Santa in the department store managed by her mother. Kris Kringle, however, believes he is the genuine Santa Claus and this devotion to the cause makes him very popular indeed, leading to record profits for the store. This annoys rival retailers so much that they try to discredit the so-called Santa, leading eventually to a court case in which Kringle and his lawyer try to prove that he is the real thing. Good memories of this film. All i'm going to say is buy it, there's no point in me telling you about the film incase you've not seen this film before. So to not disappoint all i'm going to says is, it's a lovely Christmas film for the family to watch and definitely makes your heart warm up and put you in the Christmas mood. It's cheap to buy and beats any modern Christmas film for sure.

Magical and heartwarming
About the magic of believing and the idea that dreams can come true... especially at Christmas. Susan has been brought up with her mother not to believe in Father Christmas, her Mum doesn't think her daughter should be lied to as she will be disappointed when she finds out the 'truth'. Good fun !
Although not as cute as the 1947 version, this version is nevertheless a good remake. This blu-ray has excellent picture quality. It has English and French Audio, and English and Spanish subtitles, that's all. A greater selection of lanuages and subtitles would have been more desireable. Audio quality excellent.

A Christmas classic
This remake of Miracle on 34th Street is a solid version. Of course, in the original version, Santa wore a black and white suit, but here he goes for a red suit. I have never liked the newer colour suit. I find it clashes with too many wallpapers. This Santa is a mischievous fellow. The scene where he steals gifts from the department store is amusing. However, the best moment is when he goes into a nightclub and gets tipsy on too much sherry. Charming.

This is a very old and special movie that has been around for quite some time. It is a great Christmas time movie that everybody should have. As far as I’m concerned it’s better than it’s a wonderful life.

This movie is good anytime of the year. If weather is hot want to cool down watch a Christmas movie with lots of snow. This Santa was in a Christmas parade some guys were against him and got him locked up and had to go to court to prove he was the real Santa Claus good for children and everyone. A must see movie before, during, or after Christmas. 'Miracle on 34th Street'.
