Good book for Art and Craft people. This was a present for someone and they were really pleased with it. Good size book.

Possibly a more advanced book than I needed, but lots of good information, clearly laid out. Most of the photos are explanatory and relevant. They explain some methods far more clearly than words alone. This book is aimed at the person who wants to design yardage rathe than someone who wants to print small amounts but the information is usable by both

This covers a lot of areas; design, colour, tutorials, design by hand and computer, illustrator, photoshop, colour-ways and collections, printing block, digital and screen, career, profit, business and advice from the pro’s. This is a very comprehensive book and has a wealth of info and things to try.

Exactly what I wanted - a clear, concise and inspirational guide to creating a variety of patterns for fabric. Includes planning both on paper and digitally, depending on preference.

Have only had the book for a day. My first impression was that it was all I hoped it would be. I have delved deeper and am very happy with my purchase and can't wait to put my ideas into practise.

Easy to understand, step-by-step instructions for creating repeat patterns. Easy to read, plus a mini-guide to using software to create patterns as well as hand drawn.

It's ok; not particularly inspiring and the photos aren't terrific. It's too technical for me as I was after ideas more than anything. There are better books out there for inspiration.
