Casual Gamer cheap GT 1030 - worth it?
Needed a cheap but still useful gaming card. Yes I knew that the GT 1030 is not the greatest card but for £70 or less it’s a bargain.Installed into a double slot but it’s not long so fitted into my standard case just fine. I have a VS550 power supply so I am fine but it will work with 300w+. No extra connectors needed and windows 10 downloads the driver automatically with an Nvidia control panel. I then downloaded the Nvidia Experience and game drivers.Any good? Plays win 10 Minecraft at 1080p at 120fps, plays RAFT at 1080p on Fast/Fastest mixed settings at 48-55fps. Plays 7days alpha 19 at 1080p on low/lowest and low distant at 40-52fps.It’s ok, yes a GTX 1050 would be far better but that’s £130-150. Something I didn’t want to pay.System: i5-3270, 8gb Ram, Samsung evo SSD, GT 1030 - 2gb ddr5 not overclocked. 2 system fans at 1000rpm. No heat up issues.Hope this helps others. Cheers

Great for budget pc builds, Low power
Great budget gpu, used for my first build and do not regret it. Small and requires no external power source. Just slots straight into the mobo. However I would recommend buying a more powerful gpu like a gtx 1050 with more than 2gb of ram, if you can afford to.

Very powerfull for a low powered graphic card (no pin connection power source).
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 AERO ITX 2G OCThis is the full height 2 pci slot version with a fan (quite). It has a DVI and HDMI connection which allows for dual monintor display and has sound support if your monitor has speakers (may need to check your cable). This is not a high processing gaming graphics card (see gtx range), but this is a very powerful for a graphic card which does not require an power source via pin connection (about ~34w according to other sources). All advice have indicated to get the video drivers from the NVivda website and not from the provided cd (which I did). The only issue I found was that I installed this card into a pc with new installation of Windows 10; The latest graphic drivers required the Win 10 OS to update to the latest version to detect the video card correctly.I am using it on my desktop workstation which I use for development and light gaming, so this card is a bit over kill for my current usage.

cheapest 1440p 144hz gpu for no-gamers
If you want g-sync or adaptive sync you must buy the display port version. Otherwise, with hdmi you get 1440p 144 hz. Silent 35% fan, power consumption is 15-30W. It run all games, but this card is not for gamers, only for old games and office work. (I paid £98). I recommend asus with display port and a fan to have g-sync.

Outdated and basic card that does the basic job
When needing a basic necessary upgrade for a outdated GeForce 210 this was a solution. I wasn’t looking for the best. I was looking for a solution. The 1030 provides a GPU with no frills or thrills. Just a video output that allows for basic low res gaming in a pinch and a competitive price while looking like an actual GPUBe sure to download the latest drivers from Nvidia after installing!
