Fitting the catch to a loft door was fiddly but this is what I was expecting. The instructions were not helpful as they described fitting the catch to a cupboard. Fitting it to the inside vertical face of the loft opening is not quite the same. However, it worked well once it was fitted. My loft door is not particularly large or heavy. I would be careful to go for a different type of latch with a very heavy loft door.

I installed this on my loft door as the one that was supplied with the ladder needed a pole to twist the catch to open. Installed this one in 20 minutes, no pole needed just push and it opens, push again and its locked, cheap, simple and effect.

This did the job but I have a feeling its not going to last very long, I don't know why and cant explain it so should probably not mention it but my gut is rarely wrong and its telling me that this will stop working soon. Other than that, it works fine at the moment, was reasonably easy to install if not just a little bit fiddly and isn't too big. So I think this is OK and that's about it.

Bought to replace an old similar unit that was letting go of the loft door, nearly splitting my head open a couple of times. This one screwed in to the same holes with ease and seems pretty secure, even though the door is heavy. The push to open and close mechanism works fine.

Wasn’t as good as my damage one, took it apart and the spring wasn’t as think as my one, so I repaired my damaged one and is working perfectly. It was obvious the the new one was weaker from the start and all because the spring ways weaker.

Brought this to replace a loft latch that had broken over a year ago. I took the dimensions of the latch prior to ordering and was surprised to find that this was the exact same unit, obviously a standard shape. I have now replaced the defunct unit and the loft hatch closes and stays shut as it should. No more bashing the door until it stayed close.

In unserem Flur ist eine kleine Luke für den Dachbodenzugang angebracht. Früher wurde diese mit einem Vorreiber zugehalten, der an der Decke deutlich sichtbar war und störte. Vor langer Zeit (dreissig Jahre oder mehr) habe ich diesen durch den hier angebotenen Verschluss ersetzt. Der ist auf der Dachbodenseite angebracht und daher nicht mehr zu sehen. Jetzt war der Riegel verschlissen und ich bin sehr froh, das ich den Verschluß auf Amazon immer noch gefunden habe. Den Riegel gewechselt, und das Schloß funktioniert wieder.

Da keine Einbauanleitung beiliegt, muß man sich die Funktion selber herleiten. Funktioniert bei uns überraschend gut. Ist aber keinesfalls so direkt selbsterklärend. Ein paar Unterlegscheiben aus dem Eigenbestandzur Distanzjustierung waren sehr hilfreich.

Ich habe es zweckmäßig für die Dachluke eingebaut. Funktioniert hervorragend.
