Pentel C279 Ain Stone Fine Lead

I found a lovely mechanical pencil that had lain used for over thirty years, but was uncertain of the lead size. I read on a pen-related website that general purpose pencils made in the 70’s and 80’s normally used a 0.9mm lead, so took a chance on these. They fit perfectly and the softness of the B grade makes them ideal for newsprint crosswords. Very pleased.

Smooth, black and doesn't keep breaking. I believe this is the best lead I have ever tried.

I am currently using these 2B leads in my pencil for woodworking. The leads are well presented in a clever twist lid dispenser and seem to be robust enough even for marking up wood, but soft enough to give a nice dark line.

Great, these are pencil leads in a pretty dispensing box and they draw nice lines. But can anyone tell me where this mad cost, claimed at £44.76 per box came from? Well worth the £2.. something I paid but I am genuinely curious where the original price came from.

Good, solid and more difficult to break leads. I'm using them in a vintage Parker 51, which was known for leads jamming and breaking and so far no broken lead despite a couple of drops.

I wanted a quality pencil lead for my propelling pencil. They're consistent in diameter, length and shade. I got what I wanted and I recommend this product.

I have used the Pentel Ain Stein leads before in various sizes and found them to be stronger than ordinary leads, I also wanted a good black contrast that could be provided by these leads. I ordered the B, (would have liked the 2B, but it was not available at the time), but I actually received HB. I did not check it carefully on arrival and did not notice for nearly a month that I had the wrong leads. However "LBM The Art & Stationery Store" via Amazon Marketplace were really excellent and handled this error very professionally.

I do a lot of writing and I prefer a darker lead than some and 2B lead definitely fills that bill very well. The strength of the lead is also important and this lead has that. Leads that at are easily broken are not conducive to writing with any continuity. These fit that bill well. The case the leads come in is attractive and easy to get your leads out. Like most lead holders, this one will hold more than comes in it. You can combine two holders and put it into one holder for more compact solution. This is important when you are traveling or going to school and don’t want all the bulk of multiple containers to deal with. So this fills all the blanks I need. It can for you as well.

Pra quem gosta de escrever com grafites mais macios este é uma excelente escolha. Não quebra com facilidade, é bem consistente na escrita e além disto a caixinha é estilosa.
