Go loose leaf, bags are full of garbage. This will get you a premium cup of tea, for a non-premium price. The Irish breakfast is full on flavor and you're sure to enjoy it at any time of the day.

I have been enjoying tea from the Organic Positively Tea Company for probably about two years now. I am sticking with this company for three reasons. First, I find their teas particularly strong and clear - never stale, never dull, never over dried. Second, the delivery has been 100% reliable. Third, the price is competitive: i never feel it’s overpriced or overhyped. In short, Organic Positively Tea Company gives me very good value for my shrinking dollar.

We never thought anything could beat our beloved Barry's Gold, but wanted to try to find an organic substitute. Much to our delight, this is similar in flavor profile but even better! This just tastes fresher and a little cleaner somehow, but still with the basic taste we love for a good black, breakfast-style tea. We just put in a scant teaspoon per cup plus one for the pot, let it steep for 3 minutes, and it makes a good strong black tea. We both drink it with a little milk or cream, and my wife adds a touch of honey. Delicious! We are on our 3rd bag in probably 5 months so the bags last a long time. We still love it just as much for our afternoon pot of tea (or sometimes two pots!) as when we tried our first cup. We think the price is reasonable for the high quality, large quantity, and sturdy, easy to reseal packaging. Can't recommend the Irish Breakfast tea highly enough. We also have bought the Jasmine green tea from this company on amazon, and it is also delicious, when you want something lighter. If you love tea, this company is great!

Irish Breakfast should be strong and malty. If you like brands like Barry's and McEntee's, you will be disappointed by this brand. Even if you double up and steep twice as long, it tastes bland. And yes of course I'm using boiling water.

After using for couple of weeks; kind of disappointed. Taste like tea that costs half the price. In the Tea world $25/lb is very reasonable price; the expectation is not a for high quality tea; mid level tea. This actually;y falls short. There are some Ceylon 1 lb tea that costs around $12/lb taste lot better. Of all the brands I purchased in the last few. months, Vadham is better one. The fair trade Organic Ceylon tea I purchased last year was good value and tasted better; but one bought few weeks really fall short. Tea taste can change drastically depending on what season it was picked; this one may be picked during the rainy season. Assam second flush may be one of best malty teas. I think they are picked during March April time. Not sure how long it will take to hit the market. Just average grade Tea. Looks like blended tea. Dry smell - 2/5 Smell after pouring hot water - 2.5/5 Smell after 3 mins brewing 2.5/5 Strength of Tea - 3.5 Complexity of Taste 2/5 Average grade after adding milk - 2.5/5 Sugar not added since it can skew the taste of tea.. Compared to Vadham Assam Tea (Summer) scored Dry smell 4/5. If I have to buy again, will probably opt for the Vadham Assam second flush. Purchased this based on good review but did not meet the expectation.; but it is drinkable but with milk. Not recommended without milk. For those who add milk and Sugar, this may be a reasonably good choice.
