Biz Owner -Worth it taking credit cards anywhere, off-site travel, and more!
The media could not be loaded. I have to say that I am very impressed with this product. I am a business owner on the go, not only do I have clients in my office. I also have them remotely. I typically use my Wi-Fi that is along with my landline in my office for video meetings. however, when I have gone, offsite should do events. I’ve had a very difficult time connecting my Square reader or phone to the Wi-Fi in different places that do not allow access to their system without a password. It resulted to me losing a lot of money out events were people wanted to purchase tickets if they were any available and did not have cash to give to me. so I bought this to go along with my Square Terminal to take cards easily at events when people come in. it was the best thing I ever did to invest in both of the products. by the way, if you’re ever considering buying the Square Terminal do it through Amazon it’s less expensive than Square (learned that later). so far, I’ve used this portable Wifi for my events with my Square reader very successfully. I have also used it when I was on the road to test the Wi-Fi system and take a card as a test you can see in the video. Lastly, one time I did something with my cell phone did not realize that I had turned off my cell phone data and tried to get directions to a new location. I had to scope out , pick it up on my GPS and I was trying to find the address I turned around and went back to my office to get this Wi-Fi and turned it on. I was able to get to the event location easily by picking up the Wi-Fi and connecting it to my phone. but the most impressive yet was I just recently went on my first cruise ever to Bermuda, I was very concerned about being able to access my emails and check in on things while I was gone to tell my staff member if there were any issues with things she needed to address. I brought this on my trip and also upgraded from my eight dollar plan I pay every month just to have it going anytime. I need it to a $98 unlimited plan to access Wi-Fi in Bermuda to be able to contact not only my staff but our adult children that were watching our dog and to check in. In addition, I had also bought the Norweigan limited minutes data plan for $125 for 200 minutes that Wifi bought from the cruise ship never worked even when we were in Port and at sea thar never worked!!! I could check my email through the cruise ship Wi-Fi, but could never send it out or check text messages so that was a waste of money. However, I was able to quickly in swiftly turn on this Wi-Fi system when we were in Bermuda and be able to check messages and text our children which was awesome. I had paid $98 for an unlimited plan in Caribbean and Bermuda and I also also had a conference that I just got back from that. I wanted to have it to take payments for books that I was selling and other products. I can say that I did use my laptop a couple times to check it and also my Apple pad and it lagged a little bit connecting to solos, but it did send and receive messages. I’m not sure how it would be full-time using this a Wi-Fi system through a landline with say Comcast, etc., but this is definitely good for any Wifi spot, especially if you are taking and receiving payments at events or conferences, I am very happy with the purchase. It was the best birthday present I ever bought and it’s already paid for itself many times over with me being able to sell products and tickets at Event locations easily. i’ve recommended this product to other business owners and friends. Many other portable Wi-Fi systems are extremely expensive to maintain. I am pretty frugal with my business being careful not to overspend on different areas. I don’t use this all the time so I pay for the eight dollar a month plan just to always have access to it if I’m not I’m gonna be somewhere else for a day or a long period of time then I pay for a longer for just a day to use it or a month. Gave me a lot of comfort, knowing that I had this when I was out of the country in Bermuda to take along with me in my big pocketbook to be able to access the Whatsupapp and be able to call people if we needed a ride. My husband also connected his phone to the system as well as I did at the same time to be able to check his text messages and emails that came through once we turned it on. If you were a vendor get the system it is so much easier than worrying about getting Wi-Fi access anywhere you are. this is also very secure instead of going into free Wi-Fi access especially if you are doing any transactions and you don’t want a way to hack into your business accounts. Highly recommend a product love it. I’ve been in business for 18 years and this is one of the best products that I ever purchased to help run my business.

Great connectivity with fantastic user experience
This was a really useful way to make sure that we had data connectivity. We were traveling internationally, and we could not add an esim to our carrier locked cell phones. To start off - this just works. The connectivity with the built-in eSIM was seamless. We did try to use a physical sim but could not get that to work. Most likely because you need a phone (unlocked with physical SIM card) to activate a sim and then use that in this hotspot. So the physical sim not working is likely a carrier issue and not necessarily this device issue. After a few failed attempts, we resorted to using the built-in eSIM. The process of buying additional data through the app was straightforward. We were primarily using it for Google maps and checking recommendations for restaurants/takeouts while we were out. So the bandwidth requirements were minimal. Everywhere we traveled there was sufficient connectivity. Perhaps, it was because we were primarily in a city and didn't venture into the country side. At the end of the day, when we returned back to the hotel, there was 80%-85% battery left. So for our usage, I wouldn't be surprised if it did last a few days. Keep in mind that to conserve data when using such a hotspot, you also need to set the WiFi (of this Hotspot) to Low-Data mode in your mobile device. This ensures that those apps that are run in the background are not using up your bandwidth. For our one week trip, we (across two cell phones) managed to not use more than 3GB of data.Solis customer support team tried to root cause the physical sim issue with me and after several emails they mentioned they have not tested that specific carrier with this device and could not guarantee it to work. Before you travel internationally, you may want to check with Solis CS team to get a list of supported carriers. And more importantly, you may want to carry an unlocked phone (with physical SIM card slot) that can you can use for activating the purchased sim.
