Curious book
The grammar was sometimes incorrect. Some of the "facts" in the book are not for children to read. Many of the suggestions are the personal opinion of the author. On the positive side, this book gives information that is not in a common tourist guide, and quirky info on the culture and customs.

Needs More Detail
This apparently self-published book gives a high level overview of several areas of Japan, with some specific recommendations. I would have appreciated more in-depth information and a broader coverage.

Amazing Book! Fully recommend!!
Great book! Many pictures, they are black and white but fully understandable. Many useful tips. They give detailed prices and opening and closing hours for the places they recommend. They translate some food/words and prices from Yen to USD for you. For some of the attractions they recommend, they’ll also tell you what the nearest train station would be. It has very few typos, but some things get lost in translation and there is a language barrier… it’s just a sweet old couple who did a great job:)

THINGS I WISH I'D KNOWN BEFORE BUYING THIS BOOK
Japan has been one of my more frequent destinations for vacation travel since 1984, and while I have a good collection of guide books, I'm always looking the most updated info or insider tips that I may not yet know. The title of this book and the "2024-2025" date are what intrigued me enough to buy it. And what I wish I had known is that it's so superficial it borders on being a scam. It's like the author used A.I to merely skim what's in other, much better guide books, published it as cheaply as possible and called it a new book.If you're a first time visitor to Japan, the idea of it being superficial may not seem like such a bad thing, but for the same amount of money, you will be MUCH better served by guidebooks from Moon, Fodor's, Lonely Planet, DK Eyewitness and other major names. Not only will you get itineraries and information appropriate for the first time visitor, there's a wealth of additional information about where to stay, where to eat and what to see that's missing from this book. In addition, you'll get MUCH better maps, illustrations and color photographs.Well, now you know what you need to know before buying this book: JUST DON'T. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I hope you find it helpful in making a buying decision.
