Although the buttons for turning on and off are a but small and stiff to press, this minor complaint is not going to stop me giving this little torch full marks, it seems well thought out, very well made and is easily bright enough for probably almost everyone, Some previous head torches have failed dismally when it comes to straps which loose their elasticity very quickly making them totaly useless as a head torch, i don't think for a minute this torch will have to same problem as the straps seem good quality, the case is a nice addition and i like the space contained within for storage of spare batteries. The torch head tilts on a sort of ratchet arrangement so will lock in various positions so can be set to illuminate the ground just in front of the feet, useful when traversing rough groundl or further afield. The battery compartment is slightly hard to open but there are some raised pieces of the case to grip on when pulling the clip back so its not a problem once you have the hang of it and as time goes by will probably be easier as the case wears. The thank you message from the supplier is a nice personal touch even though it is probably automated but to me it shows that they actually care about their customers, something sadly lacking in many other businesses, these torches are going to be on my family Christmas present list, so that's a few people sorted and its only May so there is going to be fewer headaches wondering what to buy for some.of them this year. For anyone trying to choose a head torch my message is don't bother looking any further, this one is the one to choose and its meant to be made in Britain which is a breath of fresh air these days. You won't be dissapointed.

Very pleased with this. I used it walking 35km overnight recently. The head torch is nice and light, and a couple of times when it was switched off I had to reach up and check that it was still there. The three brightness levels for the white light are useful - there are times when you don't need the brightest setting. The brightest setting sends the beam a good long way - it looked like the 100m or so that the maker claims. It's handy walking in the woods or where the path disappears. The adjustable angle allows you to shine the beam straight ahead, or close to your feet when going down steep steps or paths. The red light is useful too - you can walk on paved tracks, or map read in the dark without losing night vision. Red and white beams are controlled by different buttons so that you can switch red on and off without going through white. The only slight drawback is that it's not rechargeable. But at a fraction of the price of high end head torches, and doing everything you really need of it, it's a good buy. I need to have a spare head torch for a long distance event next month. The Alien Scout is so good that I bought a second one.

I was after a head torch that provided a good light source and did many a research. I have a few cheaper ones and better ones ranging in price. Obviously they are a mixed bag some with good illumination and some not so good and same with build quality but primarily I wanted one that had a good red light as I partake in astronomy, camping and night walks other head torches I have had were mediocre and cast a very dull red light which was next to useless and having to resort back to white light. This Alien I'm sorry to say falls in that category the two red LEDs also give unsatisfactory light even in a very dark area and definitely no light spread so where these reviews on boats across oceans come from I don't know that is not my experience and I ordered two and both the same. The white light is good though with a realistic LUX statement although not massive and beam spread is more towards the narrower side but would suffice many users. I cant comment on the battery life as I did not have it long enough. The build quality looks reasonable and the switches are fiddly to press like others have mentioned but I would prefer that if it meant that it had it's rated waterproof rating and the battery compartment looks to be sealed well. I eventually decided to purchase a different version which was larger and to say light and day is an understatement in light output and adjustable beam spread. The red light is superb totally illuminating the area from a wide spread to a narrow beam reaching a very good distance which definitely suits my purpose.

Never used a head torch before but always thought it would be useful. From the product description it is everything I needed and when it arrived in the post promptly I couldn't believe how bright and powerful it is, I nearly blinded myself! It came in a great looking and handy case, with batteries that actually work and easy to put them in. I have a really small head and the strap was easy to adjust and fits well. I like that you can tilt the torch down for reading and watching your step and both the white and red lights pulse. I haven't actually been outside on a dark night yet but I think if you want a head torch that is fit for purpose, good, robust, lightweight, build quality and brilliant for the price, You can't go wrong with this, plus it looks cool. Five stars.

I bought this torch, for mainly night photography. It has a strong white light which is also dim able, however it's spread of light I found was not very wide more of a spot beam so not really ideal for walking over rocky coastlines at night. The build quality of this torch is quite good and it is claimed to be waterproof as well which I haven't tested yet. Also the RED light is not bright at all very poor compared to the Energizer range of head torches which are half the price of this one. So these are the reasons for the two stars, you are better of with the Energizer and save yourself a few quid.

Grande acquisto, rispecchia in pieno tutte le caratteristiche descritte sul sito. Il fascio di luce e' molto potente ed illumina ad una distanza sorprendente. È' regolabile con 3 livelli di intensità, molto comodo per risparmiare energia e per adattarlo alle proprie esigenze. In più ha una quarta opzione che emette un segnale lampeggiante di SOS. Ha la luce di cortesia rossa molto comoda magari durante le notti in tenda. Bella, piccola, leggera, compatta. L' ho usata per una escursione di 2 ore, variando a volte L'intensità, e le batterie non hanno fatto un piega. Comoda anche la custodia per trasportarla senza troppi pensieri nello zaino. L'unica cosa che non ho provato la sua impermeabilità ma sono sicuro che anche questo rispecchia le caratteristiche di vendita.

Ich bin persönlich immer kritisch gegenüber Rezensionen bei Artikeln, die kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wurden und beim Durchlesen der Bewertungen habe ich das Gefühl, ich bin der Einzige, der für das Teil den regulären Preis gezahlt hat. Nichtsdestotrotz erhält die Alien Scout 5 Sterne für die outofthebox-Bewertung. Warum? Ich habe eine kleine, leicht Kopflampe für Wanderungen mit Übernachtung im Zelt gesucht. Wenn man im Dunkeln hinter den nächsten Baum muss, Oder etwas im Rucksack sucht ist es gut, wenn man beide Hände frei hat. Spritzwasser- und Regenschutz ist ebenfalls von Nutzen. Außerdem sollte sie für den Rucksack klein und leicht sein, schnell auf- und absetzbar (daher keine Lampe mit zusätzlichem Überkopfband) und langer Brenndauer, damit sie auch als Zeltbeleuchtung fungieren kann. Die Cree-LED ist aktueller Stand der Technik. Hell und sparsam im Verbrauch. Für Standardtätigkeiten im Dunkeln ist die niedrigste Helligkeitsstufe ausreichend. Gut, da dadurch die Batterien sehr lange halten. Bei den roten LED war ich mir nicht sicher, ob es eher Spielerei ist. Aber selbst sie sind ausreichend hell und in freier Natur deutlich unauffälliger als das weiße Licht. Das finden der Knöpfe bedarf bei aufgesetztem Zustand etwas Übung, aber funktioniert dann ganz gut. Man schaltet die Funktionen der weißen und roten LED's mit 2 separaten Knöpfen durch. Danach lässt sich die Lampe durch einfachen Knopfdruck ausschalten. Schaltet man bei brennender Lampe auf die Gegenfarbe, schaltet sich das Ursprungslicht automatisch aus. Man kann also nicht rotes und weißes Licht zusammen an haben. Die Lampe besteht komplett aus Kunststoff und auch die Neigungsverstellung geschieht über nicht sehr dauerhaft wirkende Rasterstellungen aus Kunststoff. Allerdings klappt man in der Praxis die Lampe nicht ständig hin und her, sondern stellt idR den persönlich benötigen Neigungswinkel ein und belässt die Lampe dann so. Praktisch ist auch das kleine Aufbewahrungstäschen mit Minikarabiner. Hiermit kann man die Lampe am Rucksack oder Zelt griffbereit anbringen und man kann auch noch ein paar Ersatzbatterien dazu packen, bzw. wenn man die Lampe längere Zeit nicht benutzt die Batterien entnehmen, damit sie sich nicht entleeren und auslaufen. Ich bin von der Lampe positiv überrascht. Nächste Woche wird sie zum Einsatz kommen. Sollten sich die Erfahrungen ändern, werde ich die Rezension ergänzen. Bisher Kaufempfehlung, auch für den aktuellen Preis von rund 25,-€.

L'ho utilizzato a Bali per scalare un vulcano molto ripido, senza questo strumento non ce l'avrei sicuramente fatta! Illumina davvero tanto, il prezzo è giustificato dalla qualità del prodotto che supera a mani basse prodotti decatlon o cinesate varie. Consigliato !!!

Die Stirnlampe sieht sehr schick aus und scheint auch gut verarbeitet zu sein. Die Haltbarkeit wird sich noch erweisen, aber ich hab da ein gutes Gefühl. Lampe und Stirnband machen einen soliden Eindruck. Beim ersten Test kommt dann schon der Wow-Effekt: Die Leuchtkraft ist wirklich genial! Viele haben das ja hier schon in ihren Bewertungen beschrieben, wenn man es dann aber selber bei Dunkelheit im Wald erlebt, ist es schon ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Wege werden extrem weit ausgeleuchtet und der Radius im Nahbereich bekommt immer noch genug Licht ab. Seit ich die Lampe habe gehe ich viel lieber als sonst nochmal abends mit unserem vierbeinigen Liebling raus, schlendere mit ihm durch den finsteren Wald. Macht richtig Spaß mit der Lampe! Hab sie auch beim Joggen und Radfahren erprobt, bin voll zufrieden. Mir reicht auch bei diesen Aktivitäten die Ausleuchtung im Nahbereich völlig aus. Man muss ja nicht nur in die Ferne leuchten, sondern kann den Winkel etwas herunter Richtung Weg stellen, wenn es durchs Gelände geht. Die Stirnlampe eignet sich aber auch bestens beim Werkeln im Keller oder in der Garage, weil die Hände frei bleiben und immer genau da Licht ist, wo man gerade hinschaut. Hier muss es nicht unbedingt die stärkste Lichtstärke sein, es gibt ja drei Möglichkeiten der Einstellung. Das Rotlicht ist auch ganz brauchbar in dunklen Räumen, wenn man nicht so blenden möchte. Ich fotografiere auch gerne mal nachts, da ist es sehr angenehm, die Einstellungen an Stativ und Fotokamera mit dem roten Licht zu erhellen. Blendet nicht und die Augen bleiben ans nächtliche gewöhnt. Die kleine Hartbox zur Aufbewahrung der Lampe ist eine nette Zugabe. Nicht unbedingt wichtig, aber dennoch ganz praktisch. Besonders auf Reisen ist die Lampe so gut verstaut. Erwähnenswert ist für mich unbedingt auch der hervorragende Kundendienst von Alien Scout. Eine Anfrage von mir wurde schnell, kompetent und sehr freundlich beantwortet. Das ist ja heute leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr und gerade hier zeigt sich, ob der Kunde bei Fragen oder Problemen ernst genommen wird und Hilfe bekommt. Ich kann hier nur loben. Außerdem gibt es eine 5-jährige Garantie! Was kann man da noch falsch machen? Fazit: Eine Top-Stirnlampe und ein Top-Kundendienst! Ich kann hier reinen Herzens eine ganz dicke Empfehlung geben und denke, jeder wird mit der Lampe ebenso viel leuchtende Freude haben wie es bei mir der Fall ist. Aber Vorsicht: Es ist nicht ganz abwegig zu bedenken, dass plötzlich Ehepartner und Kinder auch scharf auf die Stirnlampe sind. ;-)
